They're in the medicine aisle next to bags of cotton balls and tooth brushs. You actually do want the cheap ones because they're not quilted or mixed with aloe.
That's odd, but hopefully there should be several other stores that do. Just make sure you don't buy the more expensive ones that are mixed with aloe vera. I get mine from the dollar tree, 80 for a dollar.
I put the battery outside so I didn't have to bend wires every time I take the battery in and out, and yes when not using it I take the battery out just as a precaution. Mmmm electric sandwhich :vapor:
Just got done building my first flash light mod, simple 3.7 volt. I wired it so the on/off switch on the bottom as a backup switch for when not in use or in a pocket. It's Not perfect, but I'll make the next one look better.
I would recommend you start with a cotton wool (cotton balls/rounds ect.) as they are the most absorbant and forgiving. Rule of thumb is your wick should be able to slide back and forth through the coil easily while dry, same goes for wick holes. You will probably have an easier time mounting a...
Well I shown my flash welder to my dad and he freaked out and said he wouldn't look at it and I shouldn't without eye protection because arcs are dangerous to the retina no matter the voltage. I knew arcs shouldn't be looked at but I didn't think this thing was powerful enough to cause serious...
It's not a guess if you're educated enough to know the difference between burnt plastic and burnt cotton. You say that the info is only good for someone who takes cotton wicks seriously which indicates you don't intend using cotton, which means you're here to question proven methods with no...
No matter where we buy our cotton remember it wasn't sold or processed for our intended purpose so taking the time to do a burn test and boiling the cotton will help ensure a clean wicking material.
Burn Test
Doing a burn test is important to determine your cotton is 100% cotton without any...
No loss in heat, just more coil wraps for the same ohms. I just got done rigging my VN's with my new welded legs, fog machines at 3.2 volts. It's nice because with welding the wires together I can measure my resistance wire to exactly the ohms I want.
Well I got my non resistance to resistance flash welder working today. No more singed grommets or spliceing for me. It was actually easier to build a wire welder than to learn being a super splicer lol.
Got my flash circuit wired up and working. Still can refine and make it better, more switches, led's ect. but It's alot of fun to play with. No more splices for me.
Yeah I got both ceramic cups off the ce2's JD sent me. I chipped one but got the other off intact, yes ceramic is nice because it doesn't conduct electricity but the metal cups in a nova are so much toucher (I've taken rotary tools to them). The trick is to not lose or break the parts I already...
Woops, I made the diagram look a little confusing. The grey wick is all one wick going through the coil just like any normal coil and wick setup, the other ones are feeders.
