I wired it so the on/off switch on the bottom as a backup switch for when not in use or in a pocket.
Do yourself a favor and eliminate the bottom switch completely. Knock it out and press fit something solid in there, drill a vent hole and use a better spring. The parasitic resistance they incur can be quite high and it will usually change with each press.
Just loosen your atty for travel.
If you are planning on another see if you can dig up a torch like the one on the left.
The extra length comes in handy.
