Yeah... our original springs have gone missing, so we're sending out copper ones as extras. We will have a new style bottom cap with a revolutionary spring replacement system. That's marketing for: it should work better. I'll keep you posted.
Looks great! Please remember NOT to leave it upright with atty attached for any extended time periods! They leak, especially RBAs like the Russian or Kayfun, and some juices can erode the silicon seals. I know I've said this before, but I'm gonna keep saying it till it finally sinks in :).
It's not possible to order at the moment (well, for more than just a moment). These are back orders that were waiting on DNA 30 boards to become available. Sorry if your emails weren't answered - our less than reliable email system seems to eat some messages. In any case, we'll have a few units...
All outstanding orders have shipped, including repairs from awhile back. Not everyone's on the forum so you may or may not hear from those involved. As for new models, well, who knows? Maybe something will show up at Vapercon West in Reno next month. I've heard rumors...
It's simple - just place the new spring on top of the one installed in the battery cap. Doesn't have to be secured, but be sure not to lose it when changing batteries. Another tip: loosen the tube sections a bit when changing batteries and before screwing on the cap. Makes it easier to install...
Quick update:
We're trying out a new sealing system on the outstanding Futura orders and repairs. While the DNA boards are supposed to be liquid resistant, the fact is they aren't, so it's crucial that they don't get wet. That said, the orders that were supposed to ship today will be delayed...
This seems to be a common problem when the battery spring "matures," so to speak. Try either stretching it or doubling up the spring with the spare one we included. If you don't have it anymore, email or PM me and I'll send you a couple. Btw, this step is especially important for the DNA 30s, as...
Latest update:
All outstanding orders are shipping this week, as well as repairs which came in prior to last week. The new DNA 30 boards seem to be working fine, and hopefully they'll continue to do so into the distant future.
Really had nothing to do with Misty - we received our board order (finally), and that's when the updates were issued. Both happened almost simultaneously.
Hi Everyone,
Ok, as you all know, or probably know, we've had some issue obtaining DNA 30 boards from Evolv. These have now been rectified, and all customers with outstanding orders have been advised that their units will ship shortly. Since we now have an adequate board supply, a few units...
Ok, folks, here's the latest on the 30s. Evolv just emailed me that they've shipped our order so we should be able to resume building in a few days. Meanwhile, I received a test board a couple of days ago and built a unit to see what this bad boy can do. We ran a couple of attys at 30 watts no...
Fortunately the DNA boards have short circuit protection, so it's pretty unlikely you're gonna blow yourself up, regardless of battery type. Makes for very safe RBA construction too. As for the DNA 30, our order is supposed to go into production this week. I'll keep you all apprised of the...
Well, just goes to show you can't please everyone, no matter how hard you try. I'm sorry if I sounded "snarky" to some, but the rhetoric was a little over the top, I think. If you ask almost any customer who's had problems, you'll find we've gone more than the extra mile to make him/her happy...
This is a very relevant post, as it points out that voltage levels can be very deceiving. Unloaded, a battery may seem just fine, or at least within spec. As I understand it, though, as a battery ages or drains, the resistance increases, thus providing less current capability. Since the Futura...
Ok, thanks for your order. Your unit looks great. Appreciate the promotion. Any scratches? Seems like you received it in good working order in spite of the lies and deception. Hope you're enjoying it, so, as I think they say Down Under, cheers, mate!
