Right, forgot. Maybe Phil was using the older version - didn't check the review date. But with the Buzz you get a thumbwheel! Show me a Provari with one of those. I think not... :)
And the Buzz will handle higher current loads than the Provari (see the PBusardo review). Not a huge deal, but at half the price something to consider.
They're not refurbs - just have slight finish blemishes. Brand new otherwise. And free shipping. You could also consider a Buzz Pro - $79 bucks. Otherwise, at around $50 the Vamo's a great deal, and much better than Zmax, Vmax, Xmax, whatever.
Maybe we could compile a list of non-Chinese VV-VW devices. I'd be interested to know what else besides the Provari, Darwin, etc is out there. Might help publicize some of the smaller makers as well. Anyone care to begin?
It's just as easy to lose a Provari as a LT, unless they now come with GPS homing circuitry. If that happens the Focus will seem like a fairly wise purchase...
And will cost you the equivalent of Highclere Castle in purchase and maintenance fees. And if you lose it you probably don't have a backup Bentley so hello Focus. That's the beauty of the cheaper mods - you can afford more than one, and a loss isn't tragic.
As many of you may have read, the U.S. Post Office is planning to eliminate Saturday service as a cost-cutting measure. While this may or may not be acceptable to our pathetic excuse for a Congress, the fact is that the service has been burdened by mandated retirement pre-funding expenses since...
My deepest sympathies for your loss. That said, YJ is junk. Mho, of course, but one shared by many. Give it a nice send-off and get a Vamo or something halfway decent and end your sorrows. RIP.
Well said, even if you prefer Scotch to Irish. That might be an interesting thread... which bottles are sturdier, wearability of the label lettering, ease of cap twisting, consequences if dropped, etc. But here are a couple of top tips for LT 1.0-1.5 lovers: 1. Upon receiving unit, pull off the...
Hey, I was asking for opinions on the Holy Church of Provapes. I'd love to become an acolyte if someone could convert me. But see, I never run my battery down to half death, because: 1. It's bad for the battery, and 2. These things aren't so heavy that I can't carry a couple of extras around...
A mechanical mod is more or less a battery holder. VV is different since electronics are involved. In YJ's case the implementation of same sucks. Very badly constructed, imho and experience, and, in terms of performance, poorly implemented. Bad power button, terrible PWM, etc.
Just checked out the Provari subforum to see what all the fuss is about. Wow, what a cult! Somewhere between the Summer of Love and Jonestown, I think. I've tried these things, and while they're undeniably nice units, imho they really don't vape any better than my old LT 1.0. Sure, build...
Yes. Dump the YJ and get an L-Rider, Vamo, or anything else. Really. Use it as a backup. In my experience they're very unreliable as an everyday device.
I'm tellin' ya, the best LTs are still the L-Rider 1.0 and 1.5. Last forever and perform great. All those new-fangled models can't compare. Get a horse, whippersnapper.
