I just bured out two brand new cartos (Boge LR)

High VG content juices will kill these things faster than a drone strike. And if they don't die, they'll suffer a stuffy, burning fate after about a day or so. Frankly, I think the Kangers are a better choice for VG vapers, but most carts hate it to one degree or another.

    The Amazing Automatic Drip-o-mizer!!

Yeah, it might be kind of tough to find the perfect solution with commercially made tanks. The ideal is slightly shorter than an XL cart so there won't be issues with fitting the tip when the tank's in an "up" position. I use 20 ml syringes so they're pretty easy to customize. Plus the plunger...

    The Amazing Automatic Drip-o-mizer!!

That might work, but if you limit the fill to about a quarter tank you won't run into too many pressure-related problems. It's more about controlling the juice flow into the hole, and in this case size does matter. I'm gonna try a really tiny puncture on my next cart and see if it improves the...

    The Root of All Evil

In effect, a de-filled cart is a bridgeless atomizer, but with a larger coil surface, way longer life, and much cheaper. Best of, well, this world.

    The Amazing Automatic Drip-o-mizer!!

I don't use a fill hole per se; just slide the tank up and over the cart and drip in the juice. Since I've never owned a pre-made tank I can't comment on how easy or difficult this might be with your specific model. I will say that I've been using one cheapo Kanger for a week now and it still...

    The Root of All Evil

Anyone else of the opinion that plastic fill and wicks cause most of the taste, burning, and draw problems with almost all carts and clears? That if manufacturers would simply use metal or some other non melt-able material none of these issues would occur? IMHO, as long as these devices are...

    The Amazing Automatic Drip-o-mizer!!

Ok, fair enough. Try it - you'll like it. It takes some fiddling to get it just right, so expect a little flooding or dry hits at first, but you should get the hang of it pretty quickly. Top tip: adjust the flow rate by sliding the tank up or down on the punched hole. If it gurgles, move the...

    Angry man has good point!

While he makes some valid points, I think he's sort of missing the point. Vaping is, and always will be, a cost-benefit affair. In China the mantra is generally "make it fast and cheap." This is especially relevant (and deleterious) since these devices aren't made under contract for Western...

    The Best Cartos For Tanks

The thing that most people don't realize is that when carts start to clog up a bit, flooding is almost inevitable since you're now subjecting the punched holes to more suction. Basically it's just the course of least resistance. I'm not sure the brand even matters that much. It probably has more...

    The Amazing Automatic Drip-o-mizer!!

So I was filling a new cart a couple of weeks ago, but little did I know that my needle had developed a slight hook on the tip, probably from being dropped. Anyway, upon retraction, the polyfill snagged and came straight out of the tube - damn. Brand new cart destroyed... or so i thought...

    Maximizing Your Cart's Lifespan

You may be right about the condom method. Continued, peer-reviewed, scientific testing has shown me that direct dripping on the polyfill causes less reduction in airflow. Careful syringe filling as outlined above may be fine too. Also, I'd like to amend my original post to exclude needles as...

Another reason to go with VV

Ah, but that's the crux of the thing - you don't want the same voltage, you want more. Check your carts with a voltmeter sometime and you'll see what I mean. Even a slight resistance increase can drastically alter their performance.

(possibly frustrating) questions about cartomizer anatomy (boge carto).

As far as I know Boge doesn't make an XXL cart. Hoosier has SmokeTechs in that length.

    Maximizing Your Cart's Lifespan

Not quite the same. Over time the center tube still warps out of place. The only means I've found of avoiding this is to align it every time, or as often as I remember... :)

    Maximizing Your Cart's Lifespan

Poking with a syringe pushes and distorts the filling and center tube. I'd do it once, at most - when the cart's new - and use a condom or simply drip to refill thereafter. At least this has been my experience.

Another reason to go with VV

When in the course of human events (namely vaping) it becomes necessary to decide whether or not to toss a cart, atty, etc., the resistance of the device bears consideration. In my many years of messing with old electronics (radios, amps) it's been a fairly common thing to find resistors which...
