Ok, so I'm getting some feedback from customers who have received their orders. Mostly great, some not so much. Here are some helpful hints and advice:
1. The buttons "feel" is either dictated by the DNA 20 board or our desire to provide functionality over "babying." For example, the power...
We meant we had all the parts and tubes in stock. Each one is built to order, so there's nothing sitting on a shelf somewhere. But we've learned our lesson on that count.
Yours is built and will ship either Friday or Saturday.
He is not wrong. It's a safety feature which prevents the board from frying. There are, of course, ways to defeat this but I'm not gonna tell you how. I'm sure others will, though. However, if you return one with a still smoking board we won't warranty it.
We're shipping out about 20 every other day right now. That will increase to 40 by the end of the week. We've pretty much got a handle on production now, so everyone should receive tracking numbers in the next couple of weeks.
His unit was one of the first production models. We've since changed the rocker a bit (not so easy to activate accidentally) and used a different o-ring sealer in the top. We're still experimenting with the best system for keeping juice out of the internals, but as I said in my previous post...
I'd be amazed and astounded if juice could leak through to the battery. There's almost no way it could get around all the seals and come out at that point. But... I'll do some stress testing and see if we can duplicate this phenomenon.
This is only on the 510-only top cap. The others don't have that "issue," if you want to call it that. Fact is, the internals are sealed off from any juice leaking into the device so it won't affect performance at all. And, if in the extremely unlikely case it does, send it back and we'll repair...
If I do this at no extra charge, will you promise not to whine on the forum? How many carats for the diamond? Would Halley's Comet be ok, or do you insist on Hale Bopp? All the rest is cake.
That's V2. But we can modify and I swear I'll have yours out with all the extras tomorrow. I'd suggest Bluetooth as well, and maybe our patented espresso maker add-on. In steel. Or platinum. Your choice.
Thanks, man. That's just what I did when we built our first prototype, which, in comparison to the production models looks like crap. Well, maybe not crap, but much less refined. Just as an aside, it takes over an hour to build each unit, and that's assuming there are no problems. Each one is...
