    Kanger Protank question

    My protanks always had the dreaded burning taste when I used the heads they came with. After rebuilding them using 3mm silica, the burnt taste was no longer a problem. I've been building them to be about 1.7 ohms and I lower the vv or watts considerably with pretty good results.

    When I started rebuilding I looked for kanthal and silica locally without much luck. Most places I asked about kanthal had no idea what I was talking about. For wicks i've only used silica but might look into cotton.
