    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Sorry to hear this man but you should be able to work around it. On the positive side, you can be our first all VG extractor.:thumb:

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Yupp. I'm very happy with the stuff I make and my wallet is too. ETA: If I toss an entire extraction, it cost me less than one 15 ml bottle of juice I don't like.

That would definitely be a commitment to one flavor!

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

One ounce of tobacco will produce around 90 ml of extract which will make around 450 ml of juice. 3 gallons equates to 11,356 ml! Even at 10 ml of juice per day, it would take over three years to vape it all! And I thought I had a juice stash!

No "wrong" choices if you stick to NETs from A tier vendors. You'll find some better than others but they are all pretty good. Part of the fun is trying lots of them to find what you like.

The REO Lounge - Part IV

Hi everybody! Haven't been here for a while but had a funny happen that I thought I'd share. I was finishing a job yesterday, up on a ladder. Dropped my Reo with RM2 from about 8 feet high and it landed perfectly upside down with the drip tip stuck in the dirt like a yard dart! Picked it up...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

I use a regular, cheap plastic funnel to hold the filter paper which I pleat to provide the most filter surface area possible.

    Cold maceration of tobacco

The 2.5 micron paper does help reduce particulates and coil gunking. Since the original post, I have dropped the coffee filters and 11 micron paper filters. I use a mesh strainer to remove bulk tobacco, then 6 micron paper, then 2.5 micron, all powered by gravity. This process provides for...

    Extraction Question RE: Perique

I don't think the extra extraction time had any detrimental effect and may be beneficial. Some vendors are reported to do 60 day soaks. My Perique was from the blending tobaccos at P&C. I got the nuances in flavor fairly quickly after extraction but they were mild and muddled. It clarified...

    Extraction Question RE: Perique

I'd guess that you may need to give your Perique some time to develop. I've never gotten plum out of any Perique juice but I definitely get some fermented fruit kind of funkiness, mushroom earthiness, spicy pepper, and a little sweet. The amazing thing with Perique is how it seems to taste a...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

They are either a little eccentric or they're trying to pull off a wizard behind the curtain thing. Maybe some of both. I enjoyed their NETs but never reordered anything else.

Somebody at Ahlusion doesn't understand the distinction between aromatics and non-aromatics or they have been deliberately deceptive. They put honey in their RY4 so I'm betting on the former.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Some aromatic tobaccos make a flavorful vape and some do not. If you read reviews of aromatic tobaccos, the smoking experience is similar with wide divergence in star ratings on most. Some love them, others hate. To the list of enjoyable home extracted aromatics, I would add Bill's Sunset Rum...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

80 to 120 ml, usually around 90 ml. I don't recommend extracting raw tobacco as results have been less than flavorful. Stick to pipe tobacco, good RYO tobacco, or cigars.

    Best tobacco for flavor extraction

I'm up for a swap later or whenever.:D I wish a few more folks would drop in and contribute to this thread! It's already a pretty impressive list of tobaccos, like to see it grow.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Dang, it sure has been quiet in here. Hey boomer, I've been vaping your Planta ANNO MMX. This German tobacco is really different. The description says it's "aroma of chocolate and Scottish Whiskey" but it has an almost berry-like flavor on the inhale. Interesting flavor!
