    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I agree Jerms but I'm going to wait til the technology is not so new. It will have to be a pretty big improvement for me to pop for $189! I love my mechs and haven't used anything else since I quit using cartos. Decent mechs are damn near bulletproof only requiring occasional cleaning after...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Bill, I started to suggest that we start a new thread that updates the slow cooker and cold methods used but everyone does it a little differently so there wouldn't be much point. Trial and error, experimentation, and sharing have brought us to a pretty good place IMO. I haven't ordered juice...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Scarf ace was the original OP and she was definitely pioneering, making it up as she got into extraction. Prior to that, home extractors were heating shot glasses in the microwave! We've definitely refined her methods but she blazed the trail.:toast:

Here are the filters I use for final filtering: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006H8WOQC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ETA: Looks like they're out of stock in that size right now. Click on "see all 17 products" and it will show you other sizes (diameter) and pricing.

I had an unused Phoenix v5, to which I drilled the air holes to 1/16 inch. Built with dual microcoils, 1/16' diameter, 9 wraps each of 28 g Nichrome, came out to 0.5 Ω, wicked with KGD cotton. I haven't vaped any straight Perique for a while chose my extraction of H&H Blending Perique to...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Influence, glad you're finding some flavors that you like! The tobaccos you ordered should yield several winners IMO. I sent a link to filters via PM and hope you can find them at a reasonable price in France. If not, I'll mail them to you from here. They will fold flat enough to send a few...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Influence, congrats on your first extractions!:thumb: You will need to increase your extracts to 20% of the finished juice to get full flavor. Also, give juice a little time to develop. It takes a day or two for it to attain much flavor and a couple of weeks or longer to blossom. Try the...

    Cold maceration of tobacco

You can skip intermediate filtering but it may make filtering take longer. I quit using coffee filters and do the initial filtering with 6 micron lab paper, however using a coffee filter followed by 2 micron paper should work fine.

    Best tobacco for flavor extraction

Voo Doo Queen was one of my first batch of extractions and I wasn't crazy about it. I'm tempted to try it again but would rather swap for it than commit to a whole batch. For those of us that never smoked a pipe, learning how to pick good blends that translate well to vaping has been one of...

    Best tobacco for flavor extraction

Excellent list Str8! Our tastes are similar and we share a preference for full-flavored blends. I've been lucky enough to try many very good extractions from several home extractors and here are a few that strike my fancy: Milan Tobacconists "Centenary" Hearth and Home Signature "Virginia...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Or maybe a lot of popular cigars are just made very mild in flavor intensity to appeal to the yuppie cigar crowd? I know I've never smoked or vaped a cigar that was anywhere near as potent as the big green ones my dad smoked!

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I met a young cloud chaser today while getting my van serviced. When he saw my Reo, he whipped out a big tube mod with a large chamber rebuildable on it and proceeded to tell me how ridiculously low his coil's resistance was. He asked what I vape to which I answered I extract tobaccos and he...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Vaping Seattle Pipe Club Mississippi River, extracted by boomer, tonight. Mississippi River is a blend of red and stoved Virginias, Latakia, and Perique. The Virginias are the star of the show with Latakia and Perique playing a lesser roll. This blend provides a lovely sweetness with hints of...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

The description said dark fired Kentucky and dark air cured Indian tobacco. Looks like P&C quit stocking it. It came in a very tight twist and is used as chewing tobacco as well as a pipe. Definitely something different! ETA: I did a search on tobaccoreviews.com for blends that contain...

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

I understand. I buy 100 mg nic and blend it to 60 mg, all PG and my extracts are all PG. I make my juice 12 mg so 20% extract, 20% 60 mg nic, and then fill with VG for a 40 PG/60 VG mix. VG is a pain to syringe so I avoid doing it and simple is almost always better.

    Natural Tobaccos - Part Deux

Your math is right rdsok but why make a 10/90 base? I just mix ingredients individually (extract + nic + PG + VG). Figure your extract as all PG.

It also seems to help when I brush my tongue to remove the ick and use a strong moutwash. I also drink gallons of water which keeps my day interesting given a pea sized bladder and aging prostate!
