What's your preferred/best performing coil build + atty combination?

What does it mean to "rebuild Kanger coils" and what is a "regulated mod?" Dual coil, 26G, 3 wraps, 0.20Ω, 7/64" ID, RM2, 2x 9/64" air holes.

Mechanical reos will be seeing some upgrades

Been there brother, I used to love my dual tri-twist coils on my IGO-W. Used 28G, came in around 0.24Ω if I recall correctly. I stopped using micro coils a couple of months ago, and stopped using contact coils shortly after that. I'm so satisfied with my current build that I see no need to alter...

Yep, I think I have 8 caps. I use three of them. 0.078"... My 3/32"s translate to .094". You are using 22G, so it will take slightly longer to heat up. You may be on solid ground. Good luck, vaping is a trial and error process. I hope it works for you. Edit: When you said "quad," did you mean...

Mechanical reos will be seeing some upgrades

This is my 0.20Ω build. I like a warm vape, and I have both sides of my RM2 drilled out to 9/64". With those air holes the vape is still very warm. Edit: You are also correct about the chamber size. The air holes on an RM2 need to be bigger than they would on a 22mm or 19mm atty of the same...

Mechanical reos will be seeing some upgrades

I'll let you know right now, that's not going to work. You'll be lucky if you can get 1 full hit between squonking, but, judging by your wraps to ohmage ratio, that is a micro coil, and because of the limited amount of cotton you'll be able to pull through that diameter, it's going to heat up...

Mechanical reos will be seeing some upgrades

Mods don't have limits; batteries do. You should note, however, that most (not all) VV mods will error below 1.0Ω and refuse to fire. I believe the VV Grand falls into that category.

Two new SL's arrived today! Wow are these things light!

Don't get me wrong, I like holes, but I prefer the feel of something big and hefty in my hand.

Maybe found a better alternative to Noalox?

I believe the firing pin is stainless steel, but many people, myself included, use Noalox between the negative contacts as well, as in underneath and on top of the spring (or, in my case, the fuse).

Maybe found a better alternative to Noalox?

Read my post again. This stuff looks to cover 2 of the 3 benefits of Noalox. Find another 3 for 3 and you've got a worthy replacement. SO kits are on the way anyway, so this conversation is meaningless.

    RM2.....Wins for me.

    I'm with T. I can't fit my 0.2Ω 3/32"s on my stupid Cyclone. Therefore, I don't use it.

Maybe found a better alternative to Noalox?

I hate to .... in and say you're all wrong, but I'm butting in, and you're all wrong. Noalox is a very specific compound. While certain anti-oxidization compounds might work fine on other mods, Noalox is the best for a Reo, and there are reasons it is recommended by the man himself. Yes, your...

    Why do people like sub-ohming?

With all due respect (and we both know there's tons due for you, old friend), he does mention the 60A pulse rate. I believe pulse ratings are in the 6 second range for this specific battery. Seems like he's playing it safe, but only in the same way a nuclear facility worker is by wearing a...

    Sub Ohm folks...Hows battery life?

0.20Ω Can't use AW 1600's because of the 23A draw limit. My set-up puts me around 21A. I use Sony VTC4's. My pulls are about 1/2 a second, maybe a little less, maybe a little more. My batteries need to be replaced after about 45 minutes of chain-vaping, which usually spans the course of 4 or 5...

My Reo Grand is Drifting Away

I've heard those feeding tubes are made of rubber. The risky engineers on this forum have been so bold as to cut almost two millimeters from the bottom, but at almost 50 cents for a replacement, it's not a risk I'm willing to take.

    REO Remove paint

I didn't use acetone to remove the paint. I used acetone to clean the mod at one point because I had drawn all over it with paint markers and rubbing alcohol wasn't cutting it. Not much to see except a nice clean Reo in not-so-wrinkled-anymore black. The reason I mentioned the gaskets is because...
