    I think over time the soft brass gives a little but mine have never gotten to the point where it made building a coil difficult. I wouldn't worry too much if it's off by a smidgeon.

    Right...the purpose of the hot spring is to drop the battery. Another spring would just keep it in position. I had a hard time not mashing the button when I first got my Reo (coming from a Provari which requires a bit of a press) but now it's second nature. Practice makes perfect!:)
