    Could be residue left on the coil or in the polyfill that you taste. Or it could be that the carto isn't fully primed. Both topics are covered elsewhere on here. A quick search will turn up all kinds of good info that should help. Good luck.

    And, yep, most of them are carto tanks, but not all. Read, read, read is best, I guess. I jumped at a few things early on without truly researching them and ended up wasting a lot of money. Getting opinions is good too :D so you're already miles ahead of where I was.

    First thought was IBTanked as well. Good prices. Excellent quality. They have AGA T2 tanks but their ViVi tanks WILL NOT work with the threaded nova style gear. Just a heads-up on that. If ya do find threaded ViVi nova glass tanks, please let me know.

    Just to clarify- vivi nova is a 'style' of tank, but there are various brands and the heads for one may not work with another. A good rule of thumb is research different sites and then get both your tanks and replacement heads from a single source. Might save ya some headaches.
