Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

What do you mean by that? I don't get it... In any case the "new coil or old coil" is not annoying me. It comes up mainly after you sleep at night and never during the day unless I switch atomizer. I can definitely live with it.

    Innokin TC.... Has Arrived.

Subscribing to this thread. I'm really curious to see if the extra sensor brings advantages compared to "regular" resistance reading.

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

SS430 contains no Nickel, that's the main reason for the switch. I tried SS304 and got almost instant irritation (Nickel 10%). I plan on retrying sooner or later but, frankly, I'm having a great experience with Titanium.

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Yeah, light dryburn, as I mentioned. It's a BF-99 Black Edition.

Titanium Gr.1 after light dryburn, washing, ultrasonic cleanup and brushing. Does it look ok?

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Yes, I know it's not an error message. But it's a sign that you've reached the point of maximum vapor production too, if I'm not mistaken. Your draw creates more vapor up to the point where liquid is not getting to the coil fast enough and vapor can't cool it fast enough. Then the temperature...

NEW YIHI SX MINI ML CLASS!

In any case, I think that Yihi will try to upgrade the class M for stainless steel and other TCRs (NiFe52 for example). The fact they updated the firmware to support Titanium shows it's doable (unless there's a limit on how low they can go, but that shouldn't involve NiFe52 at least). It would...

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Is there anybody that could explain to me the relationship between wattage setting and TC setting? Meaning: if I set TC at 215C°, I'd expect the same vape no matter what the wattage is setup to. This clearly is not the case. As I raise wattage, keeping 215C° for TC, the vapor increases in...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

I'm ignorant as hell here but... from basic common sense I'd be inclined to avoid stuff containing sulfur (430F). In the meantime: http://www.stainless-steel-wire.eu/annealed-soft-wire-040-080mm/396-o-040-mm-stainless-wire-430f17-polished-078kg-800m.html 0,40mm (26 gauge approximately), but 36...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Yeah, that what I thought by reading TheBloke's comments on it. But on Unkamen's website it specifically says "It has a low spring back."... in any case, damn... I'm in Europe, I need a European supplier... I don't want to wait ages for it (or spend a fortune in shipping).

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

Ok, so resistance is quite similar to Titanium, I'd say (assuming you're using Unkamen's 28 gauge wire). Have we looked at the tech sheet for Unkamen SS430? Are we sure it's not the 430F variant, containing Sulfur to increase workability of the material?

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

What TCR should be used for SS430? And what resistances are expected, compared to other wires? Edit: found it, 138.

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

... Wow, this read as a mod abuse story if ever one did... For what is worth, I personally manage to press the + and - buttons with my fingers, no problem at all, no fingernails needed.

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

When dry burning titanium, what should one be wary of? Am I right in understanding from reading around here and in the titanium safety thread (there's so much info there that it takes ages...) that as long as I don't get a grayish look on the coil I'm ok? Considering that in any case I'll rinse...

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

I've just received SS 304 from Zivipf. 8 turns on 2.5mm support, contact coil, 0.51 resistance detected. First of all you were right. This material is a marvel to work with. No comparison with anything else I've tried so far. Waiting to find out if the 10% nickel triggers allergy I'm kinda...

TC beyond Ni200: Nickel Purity, Dicodes; Ti, SS, Resistherm NiFe30; Coefficient of Resistance

This has always been a pet peeve of mine. You say it works good on o-rings? Really interesting. You use the household kind of H2O2 or something else, more concentrated?

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Tried tightening the screws, they seem all quite well tightened already. And I haven't had the problem of rising resistance, so, fingers crossed, I hope to be good. @TheBloke have you made any progress on those temperature tests?

Apollo Reliant 60W - TC with TCR adjustment, including Stainless Steel support

Considering I'm planning on using SS 304 (unless that 10% Nickel bites me in the ..., or more appropriately on my palate) and the resistances involved, I might have been better of with these HG2 rather than the HE4 I bought. More mAh at the expense of 20A instead of 25A... but I'm never going to...
