    E-cigs banned at work

My work has been very okay with my vaping... in fact, most people support me in quitting smoking. I go by the general rule of asking first if anyone is in the breakroom, and so far no one has said no. The only person who has been weird about it was the store manager (the big boss, so to say)...

If you could only have ONE RBA... what would it be?

I'd say my favorite vape so far has been a genesis... the Cobra, if I'm being specific. The Terminator is a great atomizer too, though. However, I've really been getting into the ease of drippers. You really just wrap and you're finished. I like my vape on the warmer side, and drippers can't...

    help with lowering resistance

I've never used ribbon wire, but generally to lower resistance, you reduce the number of wraps (or use larger wire).

    VHO Helios Question

I don't think that's necessary... I've been studying the airholes a bit, wiring up coils and nudging them around. The way it seems, we just have to build our coils a bit higher. I mean, when you're finished connecting to the posts, just give it a nudge up from either one side (for a diagonal...

    Please Help!

I second this. That's the only trouble, for me, with a genesis. I have some piano wire I bought from a hobby store (don't ask me why, I just felt like buying piano wire), and have found a use for it in my genesis builds. I roll my wick around it, which gives me a virtually solid wick. I stick my...

    VHO Helios Question

The quad build is really intimidating me... for no good reason other than it's four effing coils. haha I've seen some videos online where people slot their airholes so it's just one massive oval, and place it at (c). I can just picture myself demolishing my new toy trying this, so I will not be...

    VHO Helios Question

So I've been tinkering with my Helios I just got yesterday, and have some questions. I've done rebuildable drippers before, but this is my first attempt at a dual coil. The Helios is capable of quad coils... however, I'm sticking with dual at the moment. Anyway, I haven't been getting the vapor...

High-End Mechanicals Chat, Tips, and Pics

If you ever get a mod with a stiff spring, don't be afraid to run to the hardware store for a new one! A pack of springs cost me something like 5 bucks. In fact, many of the side button mods might be able to accept those springs inside the clicky pens, as long you trim it down enough. :)

    Sentinel mech mod issues

I'm not sure about the gun oil... I'm sure it would work, but might cake up pretty badly after a while. Truthfully, I don't use Noalox anymore. Vaseline has served me very well. It's cheap, easy to apply and, best of all, easy to clean off! I don't use it on all of my mods (the stainless ones I...

    Sentinel mech mod issues

I just looked at some pictures of it, and it's strange... it looks like the locking ring is aluminum, and the base cap is brass (or copper). Mixing metals like that should dramatically decrease the chance of seizing. How long have you had the mod? My only guess is that there's some dirt in there...

    Best Mech Mod under $100.00

I'd say increase your budget by 50 bucks... 100 is the area where you start to get into higher end mechanicals. If your budget is already 100, I say just go for the extra bang. I've used cheaper mechanicals, and I've used high end, and I'll tell you, you know where the extra money goes when you...

    EHPRO EA Clone

Not to be blunt, but you're not doing it right. Voltage drop is measured "under load", which means you need an atomizer on top and measure the voltage while it's firing. Unless you have a special contraption for this, I think it's nearly impossible... unless perhaps measuring at the coil? That...

    what would you experts say?

I don't know if I'm an expert, but the general rule of thumb is: Do whatever works for you! One of the many great things about rebuildables is there really isn't any "right" way to do it.

    Ekowool Sleeved Kanthal ire.

I've never used Ekowool, but I personally doubt there would be much of a difference. You're essentially just adding another layer to soak up juice, which I think would be similar (or the same) to adding an extra strand or two of silica. But hey, try it and let us know! Vaping is all about...

    RichMan RBA

Geeze, I've missed a lot since I last posted about my Richman! That hybrid looks pretty darn awesome... I've never owned a hybrid, but they've always had an aesthetic appeal to me. They just look so "complete"! I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one. But 24k gold plated contacts? Hell...

What model is this mech does anyone know

I believe it locks by screwing the button up clockwise until it meets the base. I've always liked this design, too. :-) If you want a similar design and a locking "ring", look into the Smoktech Telescope.

    The Flavor of the Week

Perhaps "flavor of the week" was the wrong phrase... too late (and too lazy) to change that. haha. I guess the hype is what fluctuates, which is interesting in in its own regard. For example, I would think Darwins are still sought after... but not many people seem to be talking about them at...

    The Flavor of the Week

I want to talk psychology. If you spend enough time looking at mods and RBA's, around the forums and on Youtube, you start to realize there's a "flavor of the week". Whether it be the GG line, the Kayfun, Chi-you, or Caravela, there are devices out there so sought after they become almost...

Rba's, what's the best to get in your opinion

That's funny, I've never had a problem wicking my Cobra. Personally, I believe any problem with wicking comes from the wick itself, not the atomizer. Anyway, I was in the same dilemma a while ago about which genesis to buy... the AC9 looks awesome, and I'm sure it works awesome, but the deal...
