    I am very happy with mine but found that all my protanks need the adapter... they are clones so no telling why everything else works fine. It does run a bit hot so be prepared to dial it down a bit if need be.

    If you want a mod the best way to start is to just get a regulated mod. Start slow... get good batteries and a charger for it. You don't need anywhere near 50 or 100 watts starting out. Start watching videos on rebuilding on you tube, you will be surprised how easy it can be.
