    I've had mine for 4 or 5 months and I just used it with filler the other day for the first time. I don't see the need but it's a pretty fool proof way to get started for people new to this type of atty.

    One of the reasons I still have my taifun gt but not my kfl is versatility. I like that it's easy to use mesh or silica plus mesh, it's easy to use it as a tank with filler like a spheroid too. The other big thing was the filling, it's just much simpler.

    ithaka , taifun, kayfun ..... Which should I buy?

    I have a Taifun GT and a Kayfun 3.1. Both are great but I'd give the edge to the taifun. The big difference is that kayfuns are almost always up somewhere and taifuns are only available about once a month.

    Depending on the battery size and depth of the atty's connector, you may not need the kick ring with the standard set of contacts. You can grab the longer top contact from a few places if you want to mess around. The longer bottom one will change the throw but not the fit.

    The industry was built on clones but I think the recent clones of the chi you are an example of too far. Copying logos and engravings is a bit shifty.
