    It comes to mind that you could reuse wicks too. I don't know how effective boiling them would be but I think it might be worth a shot. Spent wick gets boiled and a new one dropped in.

    Make sure the spring is seated well in the cap. Mine was not and by putting pushing it back into place I relieved some of the spring pressure.
