    Any Captain Black Recipes?

I just got mine. I'm a new DIYer, so I'm just making one-flavor test batches right now so I can get familiar with each one and see how it changes over time. I started at a much higher percentage than you - 10% - which I've since read is pretty high for a tobacco flavor. However, the Capt. Black...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Oh well. I suppose if it were that easy, there wouldn't be any sport in it. I think I've finally settled on Mac Baren Navy Flake as my first experiment. The Honey Chocolate sounds really interesting, but I think the Navy might be lighter / less intense. Not knowing a great deal about pipe...

    Smoktech R Tank Woes

I had the same problem with the silica wick / coil that came installed. Got rid of that and started using cotton yarn instead of silica. Now, it's my favorite RBA. No dry hits - ever - and incredible flavor. The downside is that I have to change the wick/coil every 2 or 3 tanks. The cotton yarn...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

Has anyone tried or considered using a steeping bag or even a tea ball to hold the tobacco? Basically, we're just talking about brewing tobacco tea, right? Seems like a steeping bag would make the filtering MUCH faster since most of the plant matter would be contained. I'm just wondering if the...

Slow Cooker Extraction of Tobacco and Tea

I've been following your progress, and I Look forward to seeing your results. Following your lead, I'm also headed out to Goodwill tomorrow to look for a crock pot. I've been getting almost all of my peripheral vape supplies and paraphenalia through Amazon, but it's such an odd mix of stuff -...

    Safety stand for nicotine base

I haven't seen anything like a stand, but if you're concerned about spills, I saw some pierce-able caps on somebody's website (My Freedom Smokes, I think) that I thought looked interesting. Rather than taking the cap off the bottle, you can pierce the top with a needle and draw out what you...

Rebuildable Sale Going On Now in GotVapes Advanced Section For Next Two Weeks

The Hyper SRT II is my favorite rebuildable, hands down. I had no luck at all with the stock wick - dry hit after dry hit - and have not tried silica on it since then. Switched to cotton yarn and it is sweeeeeet. Best flavor out of any device I've ever used, except maybe the Splitfire, but the...

    Coffee Extractions?

I've never done any flavor extractions of any sort, so this is just speculation on my part, but there's a process called "racking" that wine makers use to get rid of sediment that might work with your extra-fine "coffee dust." Basically, it's just a process of letting the very fine particulate...

    ** cheap bottle alert **

OK, I'm new at this, so perhaps there's a flaw with these that I'm not seeing, but check out these 15 ml amber glass bottles for $0.11 apiece! With caps and everything. There are 15ml Boston Round bottles on the same site selling for $0.40 each, so I don't know for sure what makes these so...

DOOMSDAY Prepping For the Possible FDA Restriction

Yes, it is - wish I'd read it last week :). As my Karma usually dictates, I picked the other thing. Oh well. If, before April, I a) can mix at least a couple of juices that I like, and b) successfully negotiate for the requisite freezer space with my Loved One, who really likes to put stuff like...

DOOMSDAY Prepping For the Possible FDA Restriction

They may not go after the users, but I betcha they go after the sellers. That will make it way too hard to find and Waaaayyyy to expensive to buy.

DOOMSDAY Prepping For the Possible FDA Restriction

LOL! I'm with you, Shy De. We may not be faced with an all-out ban, but I think that access to liquid nicotine / nic juice is likely to be significantly restricted, perhaps to the point that it becomes too costly and/or too risky for most juice vendors to stay in business. I'm hoping for the...

    Glass Bottles

The Plume Room offers glass bottles. Great juice, too. Having said that, my advice is to get the juice you like from the vendor you like and buy the bottles separately. They're cheap. You can get a 12-pack of 1 oz (30ml) amber Boston Round bottles for about $9 bucks on Amazon, for example, and...

I was going to do these one at a time, but I think an overall impression will suffice. Bottom line: I don't like them. They taste bad. We all know that tastes are subjective and ya, ya, ya, but there are so many better choices, even in the premixed category. GV already carries a premixed product...

I have a few in my vape box that I would like to contribute. Not bad juices, just not for me, and I hate to see them go to waste. Shoot me a PM with the 411, please.

Tobaccos are better than the fruits, IMO. The fruits are very light, and honestly, there are so many vendors making really good fruit vapes for a decent price and they're so easy to DIY, I think the tobaccos would be more competitive.

No it isn't. Cherry-leaning, maybe. Cherry-ish. At best, it's the flavor of a cherry-flavored something else. The first something else that comes to mind is a cherry Sucrets lozenge that's past its prime - sort of waxy and musty tasting on the inhale with a faint not-quite-medicinal cherry-like...
