    I went from recoiling EVOD/PT heads to buying an IGO-L rebuildable dripper. I use the same silica and Kanthal that I was using with the PT heads and it vapes like a champ. It's cheap, well built, and is pretty easy to recoil and wick. Can't recommend it enough for someone new to rebuildables.

    When you used the 3mm silica and folded it over did you cut it after wrapping your coil so that you essentially had two separate wicks, or did you leave it folded over so it remained as one single piece of silica? Just curious if it would wick differently.

    That seems to happen a lot. People see the V3 in photos online and think it's ugly, but once you hold one in your hand (especially the brushed stainless version) it's pretty nice looking. The swirls don't bother me one bit, and it's a lot easier to hold without it slipping.

    I tried the vodka before the vinegar solution and it didn't do anything for me either. Vodka works great for me for when I need to remove a stubborn juice flavor from an atomizer or clearomizer but it didn't touch the metallic taste.

    I had that exact experience with my Protank 1. The metallic taste just did not want to disappear. First try washing it thoroughly with soap and hot water if you haven't yet. You should always wash your tanks before filling with eliquid because there may be some machining oil or other...

    I wish I could figure out how to take apart my V3 like that, the screen and buttons are a little crooked. I think the PCB is mounted inside at an angle. Unfortunately I can't see for the life of me how to get inside of the thing.
