    newb with an RBA

To elaborate a bit on torching the Kanthal: Torching the Kanthal anneals it. Annealing, in metallurgy and materials science, is a heat treatment that alters a material to increase its ductility and to make it more workable. It involves heating material to above its critical temperature...

    valid argument for e-juice safeness?

"Safe" is a tricky word. The problem is nothing is totally safe. The best we can do is to say that something appears to be not dangerous. I would argue the science tells us vaping is much less dangerous than smoking.

    ceramic wick "contaminating" new liquid

Try running a higher resistance coil. Low Ohms burn hot and a ceramic will hold a lot of heat. You may just be cooking your juice. I've been using ceramic for months now and while I will eventually start to get some burnt "backwash" into the tank, it generally takes a week or so for this to...

    Coil Help....

Also check your multimeter. I actually tossed one just two days ago, was testing coils and readings were all over the map. Tried a fresh battery, still no good. Checked it against a few resistors I had laying around, just wrong, nowhere close. I need to buy a new multimeter!

My e-liquid turned from almost clear to yellow?

The nicotine in juices causes them to darken as they age. Heat and light will accelerate this process. Your juice is fine. Just store it in a cool, dark place.

    Liquid delivery... Why wicks? Pumps?

Simple, unregulated, and analog is also cheap and reliable.

What rebuild able tanks are you using?

I'd recommend starting with a rebuildable dripper. They are easy to rebuild and will get you into the world of rebuildable atomizers. Follow up with a genesis style atomizer, the Zen-Atty-Pro will look lovely on your Provari, but the AGA-T2 is essentially the same thing for much less money.

About to give up, all I want is a Marlboro

First, hang in there. You will be glad you did. My wife and I are getting close to our 6 month mark of quitting. We tried everything, gum, patches, Wellbutrin (good God, don't try Wellbutrin, the horror...) vaping was the only thing that worked for us. We wanted tobacco flavors at first as...

100+ Most Annoying Things About Vaping

Hey Ocelot, I live in the middle of nowhere too! What my wife and I did was to host our own vape meet! We know several friends that vape (who know some friends who vape, etc., etc.), so we had a pot luck, invited some smokers who were on the fence about vaping, asked everyone to bring a sample...

Need to have Alice in Vapeland over for an In-House consult

I'm going to toss in for Mystic Mandelime again. On a hot summer's day, it will blow you away.

AIV. What do they put in there?

It is fascinating how people's tastes differ. I personally love AiV juices. A Quiet Morning and Mystic Mandelime are two of my favorite all day vapes. I've read about a "papery" finish, but I just can't taste it. For me, their juices are delightful and some of the best I've ever tasted...

    My first rebuildable!!!!

Be careful with sub-ohm coils. How many Watts are you pulling? What is the current (amp) limit of your battery? If you can't answer these questions you are playing (quite literally) with fire.

Juice that tastes good and smells good to non-vapers?

I can certainly understand why a vape might taste great but not have a pleasing aroma. That being said, my family has overwhelmingly said that the juices I vape all smell great. This includes several from MBV. I think that many people see "smoke" and immediately think "Ew! Bad smell!" -...

Need to have Alice in Vapeland over for an In-House consult

I love A Quiet Morning. Probably my favorite juice. If you haven't tried it, Mystic Mandelime is just divine. I reviewed A Quiet Morning here. Any feedback regarding format is welcome. I will be following up with more reviews (AiV amongst others!) soon.

Whats with all the Provari hate?

I'm rather good at it. But having caught up with the thread, I'm hungry and feel the need to buy a Prowaffle.

Whats with all the Provari hate?

I have never understood this. There is no real difference between VV and VW. (See Ohm's Law - do the math.)

Whats with all the Provari hate?

This is exactly my take on the whole thing. I personally love my Provari and Z-Atty. I have offered to buy one for the wife. She doesn't want one, it is for her too heavy. She likes her eGo just fine, thank you! To each his own.

What are the advantages to a mechanical mod?

I think it is worth mentioning that mechanical mods, in the hands of someone who does not understand their batteries, coils, and Ohm's law VERY WELL is a dangerous thing.

    What rebuildable atomizer to buy???

Start with a rebuildable dripper. They are the easiest to work with and a good introduction to the world of rebuildable attys.

Genesis atomizer troubles - Please help me

Just a guess, but things may be tasting nasty because you are pumping too much power through your setup. What voltage are you using? I find aiming for about 5.5-6.5 Watts gives a good vape depending on the juice. Right now I've got a 2.4Ohm coil running at 3.8V which gives me 6 Watts...
