    Thanks for the info Perseas, and do understand that I only use AW IMR batteries in all of my mods. I was just curious, more than anything, why the Paps 2.5 had an insulator, and the X didn't. Even with the use of AW IMR batteries, it is possible for someone to miss a tear in the battery...

    A hybrid connection will always give you better conductivity, as there is one less electrical junction. That being said, the difference is really negligible assuming all of the electrical junctions are perfectly clean and without defect.
