Both of my KFLs leak from the fill screw :( Not dumping juice, but leaking enough to know that I need some tissue whenever they come off of a mod...

Have you tried changing to the other screws that came with them? I had just droplets but it was after an incident where I hadn't locked my mod and it got too hot. I redid my wick and haven't had a droplet since. I also moved my wick/coil up just ever so slightly when I redid it.

I swapped for a spare too, and lost the droplets on the top cap afterwards ;)

I have repeated it oft -- in most cases it's weeping juice from the air-hole, due to over-wicking. Which, if gone unnoticed, trickles down under and we 'think' it's the fill-hole. Not that it might not be faulty - but my three speak otherwise ~ thrice lucky?

Hate to spoil your plans, but I generally play pretty good all the way up until I can't stand on my own. And even then I've been known to play pretty sporty.

That being said, I play for fun. Pool is nothing if it's not fun. I would play left handed, one handed, blindfolded, anything to make it fun. So if and when you are ever in western WA, look me up!

On another note, and I have been contemplating this for some time now in regards to several different mods, I noticed that the Paps X switch does not have any sort of insulator in it. It relies on the plastic casing of the battery to be in tact and un-damaged. Now I always visually check my batteries both before and after they go on the charger, as well as when inserting them into mods, but the insulator in the switch gives me that extra bit of warm fuzziness. Any reason for the lack of such an insulator on this design?

The interior lip upon which the battery is seated, is extremely thin on purpose. The battery has to be peeled off too much to create a short and we recommend the use of IMR batteries for our mods. In case somebody wants to use ICR batteries or batteries without a plastic coating around the negative pole at his own risk, I repost this from the tips & tricks thread:

Paps_X_battery_issue_copy.jpg

The specific batteries will have firing issues inside the GP PAPS X. The Panasonic's coating isn't according the safety standards for batteries and the black battery isn't an IMR AW, it is a protected AW ICR one with 3 legs and flat top.

From our beginning of mod making, back in 2011, we refrained to use ICR batteries and all our mods have been designed to be used with a kick that also uses AW IMR and Efest IMR batteries, so we recommend only them.

Thanks to a GP PAPS X user's smart addition, both shall work inside the X without any firing issues.

A green O-ring can be used from an air conditioning O-ring kit and the size is 7/16” X 3/32”

A black O-ring from a metric O-ring kit is a bit thinner but works as well. # R-08. Size is 11 mm X 2,5 mm.

Hummmmmmmmmm.....

I guess the Provari mini shall bite da dust..

Lol, that belongs to the wife, aka boss. I dare not touch the ProMini. Once she navigated the menu, she took it over along with my Spheroids! If I even glance at my Spheroids, I'd catch a fast one upside the dome

Thanks for the info Perseas, and do understand that I only use AW IMR batteries in all of my mods. I was just curious, more than anything, why the Paps 2.5 had an insulator, and the X didn't. Even with the use of AW IMR batteries, it is possible for someone to miss a tear in the battery casing, as I have done so in the past despite regular inspection of my batteries. The insulator in the switch just adds that extra layer of safety IMO.

I am loving the X so far, and the lack of this feature is by no means a deal breaker. I have become a huge fan of GP products, and I will continue to be as long as you keep doing what you do, and treating your customers as you do!

I'm fairly certain that it's not juice weeping from the airholes. I've had that problem when I was learning to build it and I'm not getting any of the obvious indications that it's leaking there (that sort-of gurgle on the first hit, a pool of juice sitting under where the mod has been standing).

Reason I'm thinking fill screw is that I bought some tiny o-rings a while back and the leaking seemed to stop. I kinda don't want to keep using them though because they cause the fill screw to portrude enough to scratch the hell out of the top cap of whatever mod it's sitting on. My 2.5SS bears the scars of that attempt at a fix...

I was thinking ptfe tape but I looked at the msds on it and I'm questioning how safe it is when exposed to eliquid...

I've tried swapping the fill screws around as well--no go. I've kinda given up on looking for a solution to the leaking at this point. They vape great, and I love them. They're just a little leaky :/

X ring changes the whole look. Love it.

D I love the ring. It's so nice. I can't wait to get my tips too! Should be here any day now. I find the Bulgarian Post tracking isn't as friendly as DHL. So no telling when I'll get them. But they do look great in the KFL. My ohman tips will be taking a break I think. Good job P!!

Try a tiny bit of dental floss. Peeps did so successfully over the KFL thread.

All my screws weep a bit, it's more like juice sweat :). I used the tiny oring from the small screwdriver that is included...it is tiny. That worked but was weird. A small strand of plumbers tape also works and I mean small. Qbro is correct on the floss as well. I just let em sweat.
So speaking of screws, mind out off the gutter Digi, I used to have many, I'm down to one. Where does a bro need to shop for a screwin? Screw...meh. Anyone? I've checked inTaste and most all German suppliers of de kafoon litendueiche. < made up German word, enjoy.

Same here, waiting on my first order from vapour art; 2 dt's and a brushed X ring. Not a very large order but there wasn't much else in stock at the time. Those GP DT's are what's keeping me from turning ECF into my own GP vapeporn-related Flickr, because they complete or at the least compliment the look of my GP Paps mods. Until they arrive I will try not to post tons of photos. It's hard not to photograph a brand new GP Paps right away because it's only a matter of time before they get scratched amd scuffed from heavy use.

I haven't had much luck tracking my order though, so I'm just gonna think positive and keep the lively conversations going on with my friendly neighborhood postal carrier everyday, his name is Bert. Bert is a nice cat but, he has issues. That's all I'm gonna say about that. I still tip him on the holidays. Included in the envelope is a handwritten poem (that I usually google) dedicated to their profession along with a $20 bill.

Hahaha. Classic!!! I ordered 2 tips one brushed and one polished of each style. Last time I ordered I chose DHL and it was to my door in NY in 3 days. The BG post is half the price. So hopefully it's reliable. I expect a little longer wait. I just love the simplicity of the tips and that GP logo just topping off (literally and figuratively) my 2.5 and X. Cannot wait!!! With the GP line, I find it's the raw beauty of simplicity. Which sums me up pretty nicely. I'm just a simple man. Maybe that's what drew me into this thread and Perseas' creations.
