mechanical mods finding one that perfect for yourself

I love my Sig #8. Took very little to improve it's performance and I can't imagine how a mech that cost $100 more could be any better. Have the #19 too which is also very nice but took more fiddling around to get it performing as good as the #8.

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

I posted this video many pages back in this thread once before. It shows how to mod the switch on the nzonic and is probably the best example I've found of how it actually works: N-Zonic DIY Switch Modification Guide - YouTube

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

I did pretty much the same thing with mine except I used a spring I found at the local hardware store. It's identical to the factory one in every way, even compresses much the same, except that it's about 3/8" longer. Also I rewound the very top most winding because it was getting pinched in...

    VV vs. VW

Basic electrical knowledge, as far as vaping is concerned, deals with three variables... volts, watts and resistance (there is amps too but it isn't used much in discussions concerning vaping). The three are all characteristics that are used to describe electricity in a circuit and any one of...

    Ohms Law and Atomizers

In a nutshell this is spot on and is the reason why, according to the original post, that there very well CAN be a difference in the vaping experience between the two examples. The difference is that resistance is missing from the equation. To get the same watts at different voltages means...

    Rebuildable Problem plz help

Correct. That's why I have a Vamo and some mechs. I use the Vamo to build and test coils (ohms). See answer above ;)

    If ecigs ceased to exist

I have probably a year's stock of juice now, including DIY components. My wife and I already decided that we would use that to ween ourselves down to zero nic if some sort of vapapocalypse were to occur. No way either of us will ever go back to smoking. Never.

    What are rebuildable atomizers?

Call rebuildables with a tank "genesis style" or "RBA" and ones that you drip into "RDA" for "Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer". Simple ;)

Any good rebuildable atomizer for Ego Twist?

So is learning to scuba dive, hang glide, paint, play the piano, driving a fast lap around the Nürburgring Nordschleife, or learning to cook a gourmet meal yourself. Sure, driving through McDonald's is easy and convenient but there is satisfaction to be found in some of the things that require...

    Best gauge for ~2ohms?

I found that 28 gauge around an SS mesh wick just the right size for a stock AGA hole is "worth" about 0.2 ohms per wrap. A 5/4 for example got me 0.9. A 6/5 got me 1.1 ohms so 7/6 should be 1.3, 8/7 is 1.5, etc. This is just a rough guide. 30 gauge around the same size wick got me 1.5 ohms...

MAGIC RDA for only 10 Dollars !

And AFTER you hit that fire button too! Ohms that move around a lot, more than +/- 0.1, indicate something is wrong somewhere. This isn't typically a very common problem with silica setups. SS mesh on the other hand... YMMV I have many different RBAs and drippers. My Smok RDA gets used...

    Rebuildable Problem plz help

I'm not sure of how precise it's accuracy is but the Vamo is capable of being used as an ohm reader. It's a very good one in fact and can read very low ohm coils... even though it cannot fire them (below 1.2 ohms).

    Rebuildable Problem plz help

A Vamo is NOT a "mech". A mech is just a tube to hold the battery, a switch and a threaded end for the atty. A Vamo (and similar) are Advanced Personal Vaporizers that use circuitry to modulate the voltage, allow adjustment of voltage and watts, etc. Along with these abilities are several...

PS The Vision Eternity was designed *for* the Vision Spinner ;)

Any good rebuildable atomizer for Ego Twist?

The problem with an ego twist/spinner and an RBA like the AGA is that the ego style battery really isn't intended to handle the sort of power demands needed to correctly *pulse* a coil around an SS mesh wick. Will an ego style battery handle one that is already made on something else? If the...

    How to interpret this sentence

I have a Vamo. If yours is the V2 (gold spring, ego threads and 510, metal buttons, and most importantly... the grommet at the top of the inside of the battery tube to keep flat tops from shorting out) either flat top or button top will work fine. There are no special requirements or...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

A couple say it has "glass" (not pyrex) and the others say poly... as does the item description. I'd be very surprised if they somehow started sticking pyrex tanks on a cheap RBA and still made the mistake of calling them poly. The other way around??? Yeah, that I COULD imagine. It's China...

    How to interpret this sentence

Oh, and if you are shopping for 18350's don't even THINK about stacking them in your Vamo without first understanding and taking the extra safety precautions that go along with such a complex configuration. Just because they fit in there does NOT mean it is a good idea. ;)

    How to interpret this sentence

Vamos, Provaris and the like all have protection *built in* to the circuit. While protected batteries aren't a bad idea they should not be necessary in such a device and *some* protected batteries have had reports of perhaps being too well protected combined with the built in protection of the...

    Rebuildable Problem plz help

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. I use a Vamo to make new coils all the time. Check the ohms as soon as you first put the atty on it and then check it frequently after that. Pulse the coil starting out at low volts, like 3.3 and work your way up from there. You should never need to...
