I found a small hand drill set at the local hobby shop. It came with a dozen different tiny drill bits. I think the largest was around 1/32 inch. It was exactly the same diameter as the hole. I twisted the drill while pressing left then right on the sides of the hole. I did not increase the...
You want the coil directly in front of the air hole, not slightly above. The air is coming in from the side in a straight line. It the coil is slightly above the hole, some, if not all, of the air is missing the coil. You want as much air as possible to hit the coil.
I prefer 30g in these...
To make sure I have the coil at the right height, I hold the body right next to the base. Actually resting on the lip right on the edge of the base, with the air hole right next to the coil. Then I raise or lower the coil to the proper height.
True. I actually slightly increased the size of...
I have that RDA. The trick is to make sure that the air hole is lined up directly in front of the coil. If you could see through that tiny hole, you would only see the coil. Make sure the coil is not too high or too low. It needs to be at the same level as the hole.
Kebotech, You can't handle the truth!
My posts were also deleted and I was also apparently blocked by them. I was not rude, I did not use expletives, even though I wanted to.
I asked if they were sending the V1 pins for free or if "suppliers" had to place a new order to receive the...
If I remember correctly, the Crown has dual airflow only unless you block off one of the air holes. And all of the RDAs you mentioned use o-rings to hold the body on the base. OP is looking for RDAs that screw together. That limits the choices some.
The Yaeliq RDA. I have not tried one. It just came to mind after reading your post.
It is designed for dual coils but, this video shows a single coil build.

I think I have the same SmokTech RDA you mentioned. I will be using a Dremil to cut a slot, instead of the 5...
It had been a week since I heard from MVB so, I asked them if there were any updates. They replied, "We will email you as soon as we know more."
:tumble:
You might be able to notice a slight increase in airflow by drilling out the side hole on Kayfun style atties. But, I agree with BuzzKilla. The airflow is ultimately restricted by the center pin. You cannot expect airflow equivalent to a 1/4 inch when, the center pin's opening is smaller than...
You're breaking my heart here. Every idea I have has been tried and does not work
After I receive the replacement V1 pin from my supplier, I still may try to remove the spring from the post.
After taking the center pin out, it looks like you are correct. It appears that the spring loaded pin is press fit into the post. It does not pull out with hand strength alone.
I did notice one other thing that may be causing a problem. The 510 threading is covered with the same grey...
Has anyone tried removing the center pin and taking it apart? Perhaps cleaning it thoroughly and stretching the spring will help. I may just try it tonight.
:mad:My turd has started fluctuating again
Everything is still tight. The ohms stayed stable for my first tank full. Then, I opened it up to change flavors, remove cotton wick, dry burn coil, rinse, dry, add new cotton wick. I made sure everything was tight. Tested it and see it...
((snatches Man card back from Asmo6))
I'll take that back, thank you very much :D
I bought a cordless drill and a set of bits today. I even drilled out a couple of air holes when I got home. Next, I will be twisting some double and triple strands of 32g. I will even try mixing kanthal...
