    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Like BZMoto said, they are in the body of the switch. Here: (from my Magnetic Spring Mod)

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Thanks ... Yep. Just a few minutes with a felt wheel & white rouge & it polished out pretty nice. I'm thinking of finding some place that can laser-engrave a little pirate ship on the lower section of the tube - seems appropriate for a Caravela Clone :)

    My Boba's clone

Keep vaping it... Bobas is more of a chameleon than a butterfly. It will change. Enjoy :)

VaporTek is selling the 8w tubes (650 or 350) on a pre-order for about $8, so you can configure them any way you want. I'm hoping they also come out with an 18500 tube in the future....best of all worlds. http://www.vaportekusa.com/product_p/sig-8w-add-on-tube.htm

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

My new all-time favorite Mechanical... It's like the Oddy was made for the 8w.... Sigelei Hybrid anyone? (The entire thing fits in the palm of your hand): I was skeptical at first ordering the 18350 tube for the 8w, but now I'm glad I did (still have the 18650 tube coming). I still have...

I can't tell - it doesn't appear to be threaded, but it might be glued, or a very tight friction fit. I really haven't messed with it that much.

One more pic - Ultimate Pocket-Rocket...5 inch overall height WITH drip tip: (using cut-down head from a #19a - poor-man's SG-1) The opposing gold ring-magnets rock...but so does the MOD when you set it on the table... my Bobble-head Sigelei :D

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

It's about the same - it looks like they used the same spring....but the throw on the 8w is a little shorter, and the button is a much larger diameter, so it feels different. It's a little "gritty" feeling out of the box (so were my 19s), but it already feels a lot smoother with use. I just...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

OK...got the 8w switch apart after an all-night soak in various solvents (Hoppes#9, Kroil, and finally Alchohol) and whacking it again with my brass hammer (just for tradition). Finally came apart using a needle-nose and padded vice-grips. Chewed up the fire button and the button post just a...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Yup, a Vammo or #20 spring will work fine, and so will a hot spring from a Silver Bullet, but they all need to be tweaked a bit to make them fit. I don't know why Sigelei didn't use a "Hot Spring" in the first place - I figured they'd have learned from the problems on some of their other...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Will do.... I've given up for the night..just going to soak it in alcohol overnight since a couple of others were successful using it for the #19 switches. The switch seemed to work pretty well..better than my original 19a, but I think with a little tinkering, it can be a lot better.. A little...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Tried that....then the positive pin is too short to make contact with my RBAs.... No problem, that's minor, I'm still fighting with getting the switch apart..

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Just got my 8w in my mailbox this afternoon.. Finally! Right out of the box: Broken down: First impressions: Tiny little thing in 18350 mode, but hefty! (I have an 18650 tube on order) Built very solid - tube diameter is about 3X the thickness of any other Sigelei (or other mechanical)...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Sorry... I'll use more appropriated words in the future: "I use it all the time for getting *#$!*@#*#$%* MODs apart (like the tops of VAMMOS, etc)." ...there...fixed it :2cool:

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Sounds like you have a lot of the same stuff I do :D I have a set of non-mar barrel pads for my vice (pops on with magnets) with channels & various size holes in it that work great for holding round objects firmly without scarring them up. I use it all the time for getting recalcitrant MODs...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Yep...thy WILL melt if you get them too hot....the ceramic wicks are really just a form of fused glass. Those little micro-torches are much more powerful than most folks realize - the tip of the little blue flame in the "cone" is over 3k Degrees F! You need to pull the flame back just a little...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

The air-holes are easy to open up by hand. If you have a Harbor Freight or a Hobby Shop in the area (especially one that has a lot of model trains)... you can pick up a set of small files that work perfectly for the job, and not that expensive, even the diamond-coated ones. The one I use is a...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

I ordered the 18350 flavor, but they are also offering the 18650 tube separately (looks like on another pre-order), so I signed up for one of those also....the waiting never ends.

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Same here...I got notification that my pre-order 8W shipped from Vaportek this morning also. Lets hope they don't screw this one up like they did with my last #19 (I ordered a BRASS 19e/Nzonic and they sent me a 19B!).....not bad enough, but after opening two trouble tickets & sending them a...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Radio Shack sells a conductive glue, but there's really no need for it if you left the bottom magnet on the switch - if its oriented properly, the lower ring magnet will be attracted to the bottom magnet on the switch, and the upper magnet will "float" above it. It can be a PITA at first to get...
