Thanks ... Yep. Just a few minutes with a felt wheel & white rouge & it polished out pretty nice. I'm thinking of finding some place that can laser-engrave a little pirate ship on the lower section of the tube - seems appropriate for a Caravela Clone :) -

I can't tell - it doesn't appear to be threaded, but it might be glued, or a very tight friction fit. I really haven't messed with it that much. -

Yup, a Vammo or #20 spring will work fine, and so will a hot spring from a Silver Bullet, but they all need to be tweaked a bit to make them fit. I don't know why Sigelei didn't use a "Hot Spring" in the first place - I figured they'd have learned from the problems on some of their other... -

Sounds like you have a lot of the same stuff I do :D I have a set of non-mar barrel pads for my vice (pops on with magnets) with channels & various size holes in it that work great for holding round objects firmly without scarring them up. I use it all the time for getting recalcitrant MODs... -
fc-2000 porous ceramic wick
Yep...thy WILL melt if you get them too hot....the ceramic wicks are really just a form of fused glass. Those little micro-torches are much more powerful than most folks realize - the tip of the little blue flame in the "cone" is over 3k Degrees F! Radio Shack sells a conductive glue, but there's really no need for it if you left the bottom magnet on the switch - if its oriented properly, the lower ring magnet will be attracted to the bottom magnet on the switch, and the upper magnet will "float" above it. It can be a PITA at first to get...
