"Hello, post office? I would like to report a suspicious item I found in some mail that wasn't mine."
Does swapping the bottom and top rings improve the battery contact issue? Or is that just for a cosmetic effect? I know this is addressed somewhere in the voluminous thread but I can't find the post.....
edit to clarify:
by swapping the bottom and top, I mean getting the bit with the air holes down near the bottom of the tube, just above the ring that houses the firing button.
nothing scientific but all brass does seem to perform slightly better but all three configurations look and perform really well. I did it mainly for cosmetic reasons![]()
I'm not looking to remove the magnet from my 19b, but how does the switch come apart?. I can partially unscrew the delrin cup until the switch locks, but can't see what needs to be jacked in order to get the fally aparty action to happen.

So i got my magnets from magnetman and i grinded the brass pist a bit just to make fit the magnet thru.. Works like a charm.. But i want to some how glue the magnets. One to the brass post and the other to the button.. That way its not jumpin if i open up the button housing.. Is there any glue out there i can use that will conduct electricity better?
If you glue both the magnets in that manner, how is the repulsion of the magnets going to work in the switch???
Also the magnets are not the conductive path.

Radio Shack sells a conductive glue, but there's really no need for it if you left the bottom magnet on the switch - if its oriented properly, the lower ring magnet will be attracted to the bottom magnet on the switch, and the upper magnet will "float" above it. It can be a PITA at first to get the button on without the upper magnet flipping over, but it's not hard to figure out.
A better alternative is to do the copper wire mod (highly recommended anyway) and bring a little of the copper wire up over the top magnet to hold it in place while you screw the fire button on. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy....
Its, but not difficult to
You think silver conductive epoxy or paste would be a better conductor? Could be painted right over the magnet and onto the SS/brass seat.

or copper?

Im just not sure if the coating on the magnet would be more conductive than a paint on conductor. The ohm rating they put on them is labeled oddly
There are companies claiming to have very high silver volumes in their pens too
Silver Microtip Conductive Pen
or well rated epoxies on amazon, but its a lot of money to be dropping on a cheap 19

I fudged my firing pin big time, crap I'm probably the first one to fudge a firing pin. Working on my 19e pin, drilled for a brass screw and everything going smoothly. Started tapping for threads and the pin cracks and splits right at the top of the threaded part of the pin where it goes to the button. Jaw drop, cursed, searched online, found spare parts from celticvapes in the U.K. and on its way to revive my broken 19e.I fudged my firing pin big time, crap I'm probably the first one to fudge a firing pin.
