Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

I run both my #19s in 18500 mode all the time now. To me - it's just the right size in that configuration. I've got a bunch of 18490/18500 batteries laying around to use with my Kicks in 18650 tubes, so I can also put them to good use in the 19s.. The Caravela Clone (8W) I have on order is...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

No worries. I got mine from Vaportek & it has no Logo on it whatsoever, and it is made of 100% brass (except the springs, magnets, and various Delrin bits). It works much better than my #19a did right out-of-the-box, and after a few simple modifications, is now one of my hardest-hitting...

    Pipe tobacco and Cigar extraction

They still make an "Ebony" pipe tobacco in-house...I don't know if its still the same blend, but here's the info on it: Peretti - Ebony pipe tobacco reviews

    My Boba's clone

Yes, it has a cinnamon note at times, though IMHO its somewhat subtle, and is one of what I call Boba's "transient" flavors. One of the unique characteristics of Boba's Bounty is it's complexity.... the flavors change constantly. It's also one of the reasons it's so difficult to try to...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

The #8 is a "pinky button" mod: httphttp://www.vaportekusa.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=Sig-8:// ...while the 8W is a bottom fire button mod...it's also considered a "clone" of the Caravela: Sigelei 8W "Caravella Clone" The 8W is still on pre-order, so nobody knows much about it, other...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I install the coil fully while it's wrapped around the drill-bit, that way I can tug on it & line everything up nice and tight without worrying about breaking the ceramic. I then "unscrew" the drill bit & screw the ceramic wick in carefully. It usually works better to twist it the opposite...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Everyone seems to have their favorite method. The key to coiling ceramic wicks is to get the wire as TIGHT at possible on the wick...even to the point of biting into the surface of the materiel. The hot wrap/electrical annealing method work pretty well in that regard, but can be tricky and...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Nice! Any particular favorite? Just curious.... I have the same ones, as well as a #20 & a few other mechanicals, but for me, it's a toss-up between the #19e & the #13a....both of them out-hit even my high-end MODs. My Caravela Clone (8W) is in the mail....can't wait to see what they did with...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

I used the same technique that Gdeal came up with here: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/apv-discussion/399678-sigelei-mechnical-mods-221.html#post9896490 In his write up, he stated that he had to open up the magnets to fit on the button post, but the ring magnets I got were a perfect...

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Vap; I don't have a Kayfun myself, they are currently just too hard to get a hold of, and far-too expensive when they show up (IMHO), but I'm looking forward to getting one of the Kayfun clones when they become more readily available. The Kayfun Lite looks to be the way to go (for me), but I'll...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

It didn't appear to...there was a VERY small amount of something in one of the threads that I just scraped out with a pin after I got it apart, but I doubt it was any form of glue/locktite...not enough of it. The thing that finally worked for mine was giving it a good smack with a nylon-faced...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Got the new #19e all back together after modifying the button assy (copper-wire mod & replaced the spring with two opposing ring magnets - NO spring in the button assembly now). Nice light button push with only about a 2mm throw, but won't auto-fire even with an Oddy on it. Polished up the top...

rsst problem with lack of vapour

Only slightly. I opened up the air-holes on mine to 1.2 mm using a small rat-tail file, and I find that perfect for my vaping style.... I currently use 4-5 wraps of Ribbon Kanthal wire (.5 X 1mm) on a 1/8 ceramic wick which generally gives me around 1.5 Ω. I've used them previously with a...

Good starting point with Acetyl Pyrazine?

AP is best when used with "Bready" or Nutty" -type juices, but actually works very nicely with tobacco juices as well IMHO....but the stuff is POTENT. NEVER use more than 1% AP, or your juice will turn to burnt Corn Chips Flavor! Even 5 drops in 30ml can be overpowering...Most DIYers dilute it...

rsst problem with lack of vapour

Don't blame the RSST if you aren't getting the vapor production you expect. I own three of them & they will almost choke me to death on either a VV/VW device, or any of my mechanicals. From the sound of things, you have a poor connection on the positive pin at the bottom of the atty. They are...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

OK Chirren... I got the switch apart on the #19e, and it wasn't too difficult in the long run (though I tried many techniques that have worked for me getting frozen-together Motorcycle parts apart - no joy). I almost used the old-cut-a-slot-in-the-magnet trick, but I wanted to keep the bottom...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

To get rid of the long throw, at least temporarily (I haven't gotten to the point where I've attempted to take the switch apart yet) - put a brass or copper washer on top of the bottom magnet- that will do the trick (should be conductive but not magnetic-don't use steel, plastic or fiber). Just...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Well.....that was interesting.... I just had a catastrophic failure with my new 19e (well, not that bad, but it certainly surprised me). I just switched out the battery for a fresh one (been running this non-stop since I got it a few hours ago), and I think I over-tightened top cap spring & got...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Mine has the old -style cap on it (#19a style - but with the gold spring instead of the magnet), but from what I understand, you should be able to get the Nzonic top in Brass in the future....at least that's what John at Vaportek said on the Vapers Co-op FB site. I think right now Sigelei is...
