If the internals for the switch are interchangeable with the current #20 - I'm good. The button looks identical .... I'm sure somebody will eventually sell the head unit as a replacement.... either that, or copy the damn thing. I can make a Franken-20 :)

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Yep... what they ^ said. Ceramic wicks take about a full tank of juice to break in. There's a "conditioning" process they need go through initially, but you only have to do that once....after that, even if you torch-clean them (usually not necessary), they start wicking well right away. Just...

New #20??? Does anyone have more info? I've been doing all kinds of searches but can't find anything about a "New" version. I've had a project on the back burner to replace the switch with one from a roller (new style won't work - old style might), or build something with a similar design, but...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

A Hot Spring from a Silver Bullet works fine...you just have to coil it a little tighter. It's easy to do because its a softer spring made of a copper alloy. I have one in my 19a and it works perfectly, and makes for an easier button press as well. I got mine from Altsmoke: AltSmoke.com -...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Sure... the only thing the lemon is supplying (that you want) is citric acid to neutralize the nasties in the material..it can be fresh, frozen, bottled, or anything that has a high concentration of citric acid (I have a Key Lime tree in my back yard...it works too :) ). You can also dilute the...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

I like ribbon Kanthal also. My preferred setup is .5 X 1mm ribbon with a 4/5 wrap (on a 1/8 inch wick), which turns out to be about 1.4-1.5 Ω...which works well for me. I like sub Ω once in a while, but 1.4 works great in VV/VW devices, or Kicked mechanicals, so I use the higher Ω coils most of...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

Very nice work, but I would recommend buying a diamond wheel. They aren't cheap ($24 for the Dremel version around here - cheaper online) .....but trust me, it will be worth every penny. If you keep the material wet while you work with it, and rinse it with fresh water when it starts getting...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Brass screws are not difficult to find at all - many hardware stores carry them, but Copper screws are very difficult to find because they are generally too soft to retain their threads....however, they are used in tattoo machines because they are such good electrical conductors...here are some...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

You need some type of diamond-surfaced cutter to cut and form the White Wick material (aluminum Oxide). I guess if you found diamond-coated router bits/saws it would work, but I've personally never seen anything like that for a router. Even the hardest titanium/ Cobalt/ hardened steel blades or...

    Sigelei Mechnical Mods

Yes you can - I've done that with both of them - they work fine....probably better than with the spring. The only negative is you won't be able to run it in 18350 mode without it (battery will be too short), so I would save the spring & screw just-in-case.

    My Boba's clone

I've been out of AVs Gorilla Juice for quite some time (I make my own version now), but the color of the two are identical. In one of Ben's postings, he stated that the base for Gorilla Juice is the same as Boba's, but with two tobacco elements (out of three) removed so the Banana flavor was...

    Hercules Rebuildable Atomizer (Ithaka Clone)

Generally, I set them up so the slots in the bottom of the ceramic are lined up with the two cutouts in the nut (you should be able to see the slots through the cutouts). The purpose of those slots is to allow the excess juice to pass through and get re-absorbed by the wicks so you don't get...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Yep - fits like it's made for it. I've put it on both of my 19s (A & E) and it works fine, but I have both of the original switches set up the way I like them now, and the 8W makes a perfect little Pocket-Rocket (in 18350 mode with an Oddy - only 4.5 inches long). I've seen a #19 with a #29...

The Next Big thing.... Porous Ceramic Wicks

You might want to ask the seller on eBay....just go to the "ask seller a question" section. It's the "Right Stuff" and has the advantage of already being sliced into convenient (for us) slabs that make the wick manufacturing process a hell of a lot easier: 6 Piece Lot 1 2 x 2 x 7" Aluminum...

Sigelei #19 Tips, tricks, and DON'Ts

Looks really nice with the 8W fire button. I've been looking for a really cheap #29 - I hate the looks of it (IMHO, its Fugly) , but the switch is supposed to be a direct screw-in to the #19, and would look outstanding on it.:

Kick clone aka Sigelei K show and tell

Both of mine have varied a little bit depending on which MOD & had them in & what Ω rating my coils were.....but they never dropped below 2.8 - 3.0 volts...the vape quality dropped before the CHIck shut off though. Most of the time they peter out at about 3.2 volts, so I don't really worry too...

    Hercules Rebuildable Atomizer (Ithaka Clone)

Mine had the same problem. Check to see if the nut inside the ceramic portion is installed properly - mine came with the nut upside down - the wide/flat section should be pointing DOWN, the slotted end should be pointing UP (toward the mouthpiece). After I installed it properly & snugged it...

    My Boba's clone

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there definitely IS a little Distilled water in Boba's (I thought Ben mentioned it, but can't be certain)... Even though Boba's is some pretty thick juice, Pure VG (USP) is a lot thicker. I usually throw in about 5-10% Distilled water in my "100% VG" DIYs...

    Hercules Rebuildable Atomizer (Ithaka Clone)

Most O-rings are usually made of either Buna (Nitrile) rubber, or silicone....not much else (unless you get into exotic stuff like the type they use on spacecraft). For our purposes, you should be OK with anything you can get at your local hardware store.

    fc-2000 porous ceramic wick

Some guys have all kinds of fancy wet-saws, grinders & stuff, but all you really need is a Dremel tool & a diamond wheel to do the job (and a little water to make the job less messy). If you want to give the ceramics a try - the FC-2000 are great, and may be fine for you - the White wicks are...
