If you go back to the first few pages BJ43 does some pretty impressive experiments with various size SS mesh and shows quite graphically why 500 SS mesh has an advantage over the courser numbers.

Try cutting some V in your rubber seal cylinder to correspond with the wick so it doesn't pinch the wick when pushed on all the way to see if that helps. Cuticle scissors work well for this minor task. :)

My first effort at making a SS 400 mesh wick has turned into a nightmare, sorta. :) I checked the coil to make sure it was heating evenly and ended up with 1mm paperclip hole in the center. The thing spits like drops of water in hot oil. Thought perhaps some of my liquids had moisture in them so...
Hope you have better luck on your next try with the stone cup. Looking forward to your finished product.
Personally I'm having such good luck with the stock V2/V3 Stone that I don't anticipate any changes other than cleaning and a dry burn. :)

I took one for the team and destroyed a V3 replacement unit to see how much trouble it was to get the wires out of the cup. Turned out to be a breeze, pulled straight out once I cut the ground and power wires and straightened them so it will be possible for the experts to recoil the ceramic cup...

Is anyone familiar with the latest VMax with the 8 function menu, the eighth function being "8. RMS Function". I'm in a Coop for one and I'm not sure what it is. The best I can figure the "8. RMS Function" helps to keep the output voltage closer to what the screen setting is, but that's just a...
This is my first attemp at a SS 400 Mesh wick to try to duplicate this tutorial with my Phoenix RA. Reinventing the Phoenix Rebuildable Atomizer « pinoyvaper
What is a common size for the rolled up portion. I made my first one last night with a 1.5"x1.5" square piece. Obviously it is 1.5" long...
Have been envious of all the great comments about this unit and just couldn't wait any longer for GotVape. With no ETA available I had to buy from another vendor, hope to join you folks soon in your praise of the Eternity. :)

The V3 ceramic cup ID is 4.92mm or .196 in. on my calipers, just a little larger than the steel cup.
The only one I tried was a working unit that I didn't want to destroy so I didn't force it that much. The bare wire is miniscule and would be very easy to break but I suppose one could use a...
I wouldn't throw any of them out as the can be taken apart, cleaned in boiling water and dry burned. Once reassembled they vape as good as new. Like Los Marauder I bought 50 from Bill several months back and have only used about three and they are still in rotation after being cleaned a couple...
I hope you figure out a way to recoil the ceramic cup. I still have a couple of refills for the V3 but it appear from my limited tampering that the wires are either molded into the ceramic (doesn't seem likely) or glued or whatever but they are too tight to pull out with the amount of pressure...
I'll give it another try just to see what I may be missing.
I find it hard to resist all the shiny new toys so I'll probably also try the Vision Eternity and AGA or the AGA-T that I've been reading good things about. :)

Are you still using the Phoenix style RBA with the same success you originally wrote about some time back? Never had any luck with mine. :)
Curious if you've had a chance to try the Vision Eternity RBA Busardo has given such high marks?

It's a little larger than the Vivi Nova's 4.75mm I.D. cup at 4.92mm. Unfortunately it's not rebuildable, not with my abilities anyway but I've a couple for nearly a year and they still work great.
