I got mine from FastTech for $71, took 3 weeks to get to me, and I consider it a bargain at that price.
You could just use a normal 510/ego adapter rather than the one that comes with the VTR if you wanted an ego threaded atty to sit in the recess.
My ideal mod would be a VTR with a 22mm ring that used a Nivel Chip. Until that point I will have to get by with a Semovar and a VTR and hope they merge in my memory as I get older.
The tracking stays at info received until it passes the customs check at HK, at least that's how I understand it. That's why that stage now takes upto forever compared to a few months ago.
My solution would be a button to report irrelevant posts where the responder has not answered the question posed by the OP, I saw one yesterday where someone stated a separate battery was a requirement and was then told to get an MVP, these reports could be confirmed or dismissed by the mods...
All SVDs are made by Innokin so they are the same unlike the Vamo which is made by a few different companies. I haven't tried a SVD, I do have the Innokin VTR and it's build quality is good.
i got the VTR from FT but someone was selling it for a similar price in the uS, might be similar for the...
I am not sure why people keep recommending the MVP to you since you have stated external batteries as a requirement.
I got a VTR a couple of weeks ago and would happily recommend it, I think you can pick it up in the states for about $80, the build quality is good, it easily fits in a pocket...
£135 for the basic, looks like there is an extra battery tube (500 or 650) too. I don't know what the reserve is though so it might not be a massive bargain, the £35 is the opening price on the auction.
If anyone in the UK is interested, someone has a SvoeMesto Semovar up on EBay. It's starting at £35 but seems to have a reserve set.
It's a top Mod and someone might get a reasonable bargain.
I can't wait for my 3.1 clone to get here so I can match it up with mine.
My wallet would like me to say perhaps better described as less expensive rather than cheaper. :)
*its still more expensive in EU than a ProVari is in the US, it's just that a Provari is $240 when you are in the EU (UK anyways) :(
