I was looking at that kraken and the bliss clones today. I like the look of both of them, and would have been tempted had i a) not just spent £300 on christmas presents and b) not have any need of any more toppers at least until i get better at using the RDAs/RBAs i have
Shipping is better to the US than the UK - in the UK it's normally 3 weeks or more from ordering stock items. The general consensus is that the clones are very good value for money compared with what you pay for the originals, but it can be hit and miss. I personally havent bought a lot of stuff from them, although the one RDA i bought (trident clone) is excellent and i cant imagine that the original would be a whole lot better. Others will be able to point you in the direction of the best bits i am sure. Lisa probably owns shares in FT by now the amount of stuff she gets from them
Well, it depends on what you want, from a mech to a VV/VW, tube shape to box shape, button on the bottom, side, or top, and what kind of toppers you are using - cartos, clearos, or RBA/RDAs. There are many combinations to chose from, the main thing is to get a mod that hits the way you want =] I have some weaker eGos and mechs that are great for my CE4s, Boge carto tanks, and Protanks... and then I have some heavy hitting monsters that are VV/VW or kicked that I use to fire up my RBAs

Yes the bogof is still on mate, so you will end up with 60 mlI'm still macerating / steeping / leaving on the shelf! my Trip Hammer liquids, but i did sneak a try of the Rainbow Fizz last night. I stuck 1ml in my mini protank and i usually just have a little over a period of a couple of days and sometimes even pour some back in the bottle because i want to try something else. Not so with this liquid... i vaped it all in about 20mins
In other news i have just ordered a few bottles of JJ. 10ml of peppermint, 10ml of cherry pie and 30ml of key lime. I havent tried any of them before but i have seen several people rating the key lime, chief amongst them being terry! I went for a 70% VG mix on this as I am more interested in the flavour, and thickness of the vape with key lime and dont mind sacrificing the TH a bit. Even if i dont like it at £6.38 a bottle i sometimes pay that for 10ml tasters. Not sure if BOGOF is still ongoing, not expecting it to be, but nice bonus if it is

LOL yeah, they sell them on ebay as well Ian. they are 10 mil dianeter,so should be a bit better (less fiddly) than the 8 mil.
It does look nice and chunky that mod Cody, plus it has an evod connector by the looks of it. I've got my vape stand now mate. It's not bad for the price. But I think I'm gonna modify mine a bit. As Lisa said, the mods only slide in about an inh or so, so if you've got a top heavy set-up in there, it's likely to fall over if you bang the stand at all. I'm thinking of getting some longer wooden dowels and gluing them in instead of the plastic legs. It will raise the overall height of the stand, but should make it a bit more sturdy

I've done my final orders for this year. I've been trying to order the Russian 91 for weeks now. I finally found out today, that everywhere is out of stock, but I have found a place that's taking pre-orders - viper vape. Their due back in around the 16th of this month, so I've pre-ordered 2 of them. Plus I've put in an Amazon order for a butane coil torch (for my wicks), a magnifier set-up (similar to the one Lisa has) and a nurses fob watch (for the Wife for chrimbo). So that's me done for this year, no more spending, probably
The Vamo is a hard hitting work horse =] Much too heavy for me personally, but the Vamo will fire up every topper I have =] I'm not into RDAs too much... The others could help you with drippers. I prefer toppers that I can put some large quantity of juice into and settle down to VAPE and not be refilling regularly =] I'm forced to drip when I am testing new juices that I've had steeping, but for the life of me I can't even remember what I am using...

Ian, i know you are on lates; but if you get chance later can you explain how to put a 3mm ekowool wick, using 30 gauge wire into the I atty ? I am not very familiar with doing vertical`s, or using the 30 wire. all i need to know on the coil side of things is how many wraps, for around 1.6 ohm ?

If your going for an RDA, you might be better getting a mechanical mod rather than a regulated mod (like the Vamo). If your hubby builds a coil that is less than 1.2 ohms the Vamo won't fire. A lot of the RDA's are dual coil, so tend to have a lower resistance. But if you buy an RDA that only takes a single coil and make sure the resistance is over 1.2 ohms, the Vamo will be fine. It does sound a bit strange, but when you use two coils in an RDA the resistance is halved - so two 1.8 ohm coils in an RDA would give an overall resistance of 0.9 ohms. The best thing to do is find a set-up that you like, search for it on FT, then read the review section. Some items look great until you read about other people's experiences with them.

Basically, your just mounting the coil pointing up instead of flat. So you only need one wick hole in the atty. Make sure the wick goes through the wick hole and almost touches the bottom of the tank. Your positive post connection point will be higher than the negative post connection point, so that you can mount the coil vertically. If you've got more than one wick hole, use the one that is closest to the pos and neg points, so your coil legs aren't too long. With ekowool, it's best to wrap the coil on a 3mm drillbit, fix the coil in place with the drillbit sticking through the wickhole - so you know it's definitely vertical. Trim the end of the ekowool into a v shape, wet the end (or torch it) and insert into the coil and down into the tank. A needle will come in handy to help guide the wick down. Also you need to turn the eko, as if your trying to screw it into the coil. Getting the wick in, is the hardest part. Once it's in place cut the wick so it sits 2-3mm above the top of the coil.
With 30g kanthal and a 3mm wick you'll only need 4 or 5 wraps, or if you want to try a mini-coil (with all the wraps touching) go for about 8 or 9 wraps.

Surprised, the second that said ships the 9th, got an email this morning that it was shipped and a tracking number. Looks like it is going through SG, have to see how long that takes.

I have built the coil, and installed it no probs. 5 wraps gave me 1.3 ohm`s, i couldn`t get the ekowool through though so i have used 3 mm silica. I also drilled the airhole out to 1.5 mil. filled up and it is vaping crap
Hardly any vapour, no taste except burning.I just checked the wick and it has burnt quite badly, yuk. right plan B how do i get some cotton ball in the coil ???
EDIT: Ian OMFG, Obviously 3mm silica no good, 3mm ekowool too fat, but cotton ? bleeding marvoulous.
I just rolled some cotton ball between my fingers,after wetting it a little; thread it through the coil did a couple of dry pulls and left it for 5 minutes.
I went back to it fearing i would still be getting yucky burnt wick ! And what a lovely full of flavour thick cloudyness vape i am having. I now fully understand all the hype about cotton
And i can honestly say that it will probably be my wick of choice from now on. If this tank really does hold 2.5 ml of juice, i will have to slow down a bit not, a third of a tank in half an hour Of lovely key lime. Mmmmm Mmmmm Mmmm.

Yes it is all secure, and fasttech are a really good company to deal with. shipping can be a little slow but that`s my only critisism.

Terry's covered it by the looks of things. All I will say is, I'm on about order 20 or so from them - in fact most of us on this thread have ordered multiple times. But as Terry says, don't expect your stuff quickly, it can take anything from 2-6 weeks to arrive. Most of my orders have been about 3-4 weeks though.

It is a struggle to get 3mm eko through a 3mm coil mate.
With the cotton just roll out a piece to roughly the right thickness. Make sure the end that will pass through the coil is tapered to a point. moisten the cotton with a bit of saliva too, so it keeps it's shape when your passing it through the coil. Try and break the cotton ball with the direction of the fibres, when your first rolling your piece. If you go against the fibres it will just fall apart, also try to twist the cotton so it holds together better. You want it fairly compact for inserting through the coil, but make sure it isn't too thick. It should pass through the coil and just hold in place. If the cotton will fall out of the coil, it's not thick enough. If the cotton is difficult to thread through the coil, it's too thick. Same as the ekowool, you want it almost touching the bottom of the tank. Then trim off the top of the wick so it's about 2-3mm above the top of the coil (you don't want the top of the wick to be any higher than the top of the positive post).
You just need to make sure that your coil is still perfectly vertical by popping the drillbit in before you insert the new wick. It sounds like the ekowool wasn't wicking enough, if you were getting dry hits. Once you've perfected cotton, you'll never get a dry hit again.

Not sure about the picture now. I am over 10 orders and before I could "Clearly See MY Name and address", now it is blurry on both orders. I downloaded the pictures and zoomed in and I would bet money these are not pictures of my packages. I enhanced them the best I could and the address lines are just wrong. Where the name is there is a middle initial, but I don't use mine. At the bottom of all the other packages for my address it also had "United States of America", no way the blur says that. JMHO they are giving us fake pictures to make us think the packages are packed and shipped. I have gotten all my previous orders fine, less than 2 weeks except for the first one, but why post a blurry picture when previous orders had a clear picture that you could see your name and address? I got a bad feeling, glad they are both small orders, just over $20 each. I checked and my SVD had a blurry picture and it came in 10 or 11 days I think. Keeping my fingers crossed.
