I have also taken apart a couple of old dead cartos and will use them when I get some wick and wire and try rebuilding one. I will probably rebuild one totally and another I will just change the rubber seal for the leads and see if either of those make a difference.
I don't buy premixed anymore. Way cheaper to DIY plus I haven't found a pre mix I like enough to pay that much for. Most of my ejuice is just vg PG nic and menthol anyways. I will add a little flavoring every once in a while just to give it a little hint of something that about it
More so...
Anybody have any experience withe totally wicked's titanium and platinum nic juice and their PG vg and their flavorings.
Any reviews of their stuff would be great. Thinking of my next stock up to be from them.
The reason I use ce2's is because I can't stand the taste the polyfill gives off even when completely soaked. I wonder if you could take the polyfill out of a cartomizer and pack some cotton or bamboo strips in there, anyone try that one yet?
I use the needle provided but I thin down my DIY vg and I thin it a little more for the Phoenix. I received my Phoenix last Monday and I would still be filling first one if I didn't thin it down. I don't dare put a bigger needle in, might screw up the seal.
I think the reason why one is working and one isn't is my fluxos for some reason have created a vacuum in the darn thing. When I went to clean it I had to stick a paperclip past the ceramic cup to get the juice to come out. It was still a vacuum once I got it put back together but I had noticed...
Yep mine are down far enough that the wicks are pointing at a 45 or worse of an angle towards the wick hole. And I use a 50/50 blend so it doesn't wick as good as it could be.
That seems to be my problem too. The three I opened are all sunk in down past the holes. I just figured it was part of the design. Next time I clean I will try pull them up and maybe I wont have to squeeze the tube to get that awesome hit.
I have the higher ohm ones for both packs too
I think the more air flow cools it down even more. What I do with my Phoenix is screw it down pretty tight to make the draw a little harder. That seems to warm it up a little. Not much but better.
I agree that the tank needs nothing. Its the heads that are hit or miss. The tank itself is worth $16. Just an awesome design all the way around. I hope the new heads follow suit which I'm sure they will be a lot better considering how much attention they got. And even if there are still a few...
Anybody else instinctively tilt ur Phoenix when that rare dry hit comes. Did it twice wondering what am I doing? LOL
Plus just found a big minus with these things, I just got asked if I was smoking in the locker/bathroom at work :( I guess I left a haze. No more stealth vaping in the men's...
for those that are getting leaks after a few refills double check all the air has gotten out the top ( the battery end when filling). I just did my third fill and when i took the needle out and before i tilted it back down to put it on my battery i just saw a little half moon air pocket that...
Its got to be the wick maybe the coil too. This is my first true run at a flux and my clear plain DIY with menthol for kick has started to brown after two refills. That's never happened to me before on a ce2. I have always used rev 5 clearo's with the cheap tubes from another vendor. The reason...
The biggest advice I have is when trying something new always, always have something that you know works ready available loaded with 24mg ready to calm the nerves. We are dealing with nic addicts 'twitch' here trying to get their 'twitch' fix and when something -dam it why 'twitch' wont you...
I have had many shippments showing updates on sundays, i think the postal offices only work mon-sat and delivery too but i think the main shipping like planes and tractor trailers run 24/7 and probably the sort facility's also. I am also looking at getting a quick ship compared to the last time...
