Dual coil school, come on in guru's...share your knowledge!

Unfortunately, more and more people are looking for blowing major clouds! Probably from all the videos and blogs from the guys in the Philippines letting us Americans fell pretty joe average with the size of our plumes! Manufacturers know that adding a bigger air hole help with this. I much...

Dual coil school, come on in guru's...share your knowledge!

Great point about the identical coils. Try and use (as much as possible) to use the same size and length of wire for your coils to make it a little easier for your build. Thanks Aoi

    Point me into a direction??

I have a Siam mods Cobra (original) RBA. It is a beautifully made device and omits quality. I have used XC 116 (kiln fired) ceramic wick (rope) in my Cobra with some fantastic results. I would definitely recommend.

All great answers Grindle. You are obviously faster at typing than I. I agree with all of them! BTW - not all yanks like the airy drag! I prefer it a little tight and more TH. Thanks dude!

Whats the best set-up for an IGO-L?

XC 116 (kiln treated) ceramic wick (doubled) and 0.5 x 0.1mm Ribbon Kanthal to get 1.5ohms. Extremely simple and fantastic results!

    Properly / well machined RDAs?

I love my IGO L. One of the best vapes for a cheap RBA (seen them recently for around $14). I use XC 116 (Kiln treated) and wrap some ribbon kanthal (0.5 X 0.1m) to get around 1.3 Ohms. With 3.5 volts on my Provari, then clouds of the best tasting vapor is quite close to heaven (for me)! With...

    Wire Rope for Wick?

Excellent advice!! I do pretty much as you have mentioned above. Then only thing that I would add:- I torch the SS rope (white hot) to ensure there is nothing left from the manufacturing process or from handling the rope. Basically giving it a really good cleaning. If you follow the tips...

GP Series by VapourArt - Official Thread for GP Spheroid, GP PAPS, X, GP Piccolo, GP SnP and more - Part 1

Quick question: Has anyone experienced a whistling sound when using your Spheroid with a Provari? I worried that I could be attracting dogs or rats! I can be annoying after a while!

A Tale of Two Atty's (First night with a couple of AGA T2's)

That was excellent. I was so intrigued, that I thought I was reading a best seller! Congratulations on your build! You probably know by now that you have opened a major can of worms for yourself. You will be another who is looking for the 'Holy Grail". It is still out there!!!

    Wire Rope for Wick?

If you SS wick is not wicking, then you are not putting juice on the cotton and therefore the coil is dry. This will definitely burn! When I use cotton in or on SS mesh, I make sure to keep tilting and ensuring that the cotton stays wet. When working, cotton is hard to beat!

    Victory over aga-t!!!

I would agree with that statement! Maybe when you wrap/ roll mesh over silica, the silica fibres are straightened and like you say, silica is more of a keeper of juice that a climber for juice!

AGA-T+, I'm irritated, what the hell? (VAMO Qs as well)

Sounds like you have discovered hot-spots and shorts with your description rnln!

    Victory over aga-t!!!

Diagonal cut will make very little difference (preferred is the grain running lengthwise). Diagonal cutting is only good for making U wicks IMHO. Are you leaving the filler screws out when you vape? Sometimes, you can create an air-lock/ vacuum and the juice will not flow.

    To oxidize or not??

I pulse my coil and un-oxidized wick on my old bolt mod (even with a fresh battery - just carefully). Then, when I'm happy with the coil, I move it back onto my Provari. Stops the headache of the E1 error!

    Victory over aga-t!!!

Wick style usually comes form how you actually vape (tilt, vertical - how you hold your device) and the contents of you juice (PG or VG % dominant). SS mesh solid (more vertical) SS mesh straw (tilter) SS mesh 400 or 500 is just the micron size of the mesh (many people claim that the 500 is...

    Looking for recommendations

Most genesis style RBA can leak depending upon the way the wick is setup on the device. Most people leave the filler screw(s) out for better wicking. Lots of people prefer straw type wicks compared to solid and the hole in the middle of a straw wick is a nice channel for liquid to 'escape'...

    Titanium mods and accessories

Cobra rebuild-able atomizer is a collaboration between Siam Mod’s and Alba-Vapours. I got my 3ml size Cobra from vapordudes.com. Very happy with the quality and performance of this RBA. The titanium makes it special!
