Ok.... two days in the works and here's what has finally worked for me. I didn't measure my homemade nr-r-nr wire but I'm thinking I had a lil over an inch of kanthal that I wrapped 6-7 times around a double wick (covered a nice surface area of the wick inside the ceramic). I don't think this... -

MWA and his tricks.... Now I need some 2mm wick. All I have is the 3mm that was included with the ody. It should work though. -

Ody help please !
With the new metal piece holding the ceramic, make sure you run the piece you connect to the center pin down the channel with the ceramic. The other piece of wire runs down the metal channel that doesn't have the ceramic and is connected with the lock screw. -

Glad you found one. I'm sure there are several small orings that will fit it. So now we have two option... #60oring or #0534. Making sure I jot this down, because that oring is bound to get lost sometime in this lifetime. :)- craftmath

I just got the ody yesterday and am experiencing the lack of taste with Boba's Bounty. It just doesn't seem to put off the vapor like it does in a carto either. However, I did drop some 50/50 homemade baccy mix I had into the ody and it does have the flavor and vapor as I expected. My...- craftmath

Got some of that otw.... was just trying to see if anyone knew of some NR wire that lies around the house in a common cord or something of the sort. I sound desperate I'm sure, but I hate seeing this Ody disassembled, unvapable, for the next four days. -

The hobby shop here in town only has silver plated wire. Very thin and it appears to be flexible, but I wonder if silver "plated" is going to do the job. I couldn't see on label what was underneath the silver plating. It did say nickel free but thats it. -

Its a shame there is only one wire though included with the ody. I was hoping for a few because I keep getting less than 2ohms. Looking for something around 2.5 to 3ohms. Anybody know of places to get NR wire? I have some ordered, but that means I can't use my Ody until the extra NR wire... -
Missing an oring?
A number 60 oring from lowe's seems to do the job btw. It fits nicely down in the ceramic and using a precision screwdriver, everything is nice and snug with no steel on porcelain action that had me worried about the porcelain cracking as well. I was a little disappointed to get only ONE r/nr...- craftmath

I'm missing the one under the center post top nut which means I have a center post top nut tighten directly onto the bottom of the ceramic cup. -
