Cool. Well, we can get ya set up when you do decide to get it anodized. I've started asking folks to include a print out of the exact color they want something anodized and I'll do my best to get the color exact.
My personal PV is a Kryton Groove modified to work as a PV. Even has room for a Kick in the top section above the switch. Here it is:
I cut my lathe teeth on that sucker. Had to make a custom endcap and custom top for the 510 socket. That and milling the section down for the switch.
I...
yeah but was that bare aluminum or was that anodized aluminum? Anodized is a lot more corrosion resistant.
I'll order the pink for sure. You're not the only one that has expressed an interest in it over the years so I'll buy some.
Uh-oh, now the war has started! LOL. Absolutely. I haven't ordered the pink yet, but I will specifically if there's enough interest. Sadly the pink dye is the most expensive. That and black but everyone wants black.
We did a LOT of work on that GGTS in order to get it perfect. The particular alloy of the aluminum on the GG is such that it didn't take laser engraving well so even though the beadblasted surface anodized nicely, the engraving has small areas where the laser didn't cut through it right. That...
Yeah! As long as the host is aluminum, I can anodize it any color.
The colors I presently have are
Green
red
purple
gold
black
blue
Pink is on order so looks like your wife may finally get that pink Ihy!
I hate that we can't edit our own posts in our own threads. Just silly.
LOL, you're probably familiar with my now famous Kryton hosts then. I've been making lasers for over 5 years and it's amazing the way technology has grown.. I started with a 5mw red, moved up to a 15mw green, then a whopping 150mw red.. I was hooked then. I now have so many lasers I can't...
yeah well this is a much larger community than the other forums I'm a member of. The laser enthusiasts forums are much much smaller and finding fellow laser enthusiasts is even more rare. The nice thing is, we've got very few planes in the sky and shining lasers from one town to the next is...
Dooood! Yer like 130 miles from me! It's incredibly rare to find folks from montana. I lived in Bozey for a short while while I attended MSU.. wasn't a big fan of the town, but loved the mountains around it.
Yeah we have a company outside of town that rents them by the hour. You have to stay close to the landing strip, but they are a blast. I wish I could afford one, but I could barely afford my used V-max. I couldn't resist though. Mid-life crisis or something. :)
I would NEVER drive something like that. The tires on my 99' yamaha V-max are incredibly bad if you even look at moisture with them. I recently had an accident (nothing bad) because the back tire wouldn't grab well enough (yes, I know that most of the stopping power on a motorcycle is in the...
Incredibly generous and fair. I personally am going to opt myself out of your offering. Not because I don't want an Ihy, but because I'm a retailer here and I would feel bad taking something for free. I just don't roll that way. It needs to go to someone else deserving.
