    so did I... I've actually always wondered why dripping attys aren't coiled like this... I mean, I know that they are not really built to accommodate that coil... but my question is why not? Seems to me you could have a wickless coil.

    short answer: yes long answer: Yes, if you want both coils to do anything. If they are not exactly the same, one will get hotter than the other... and they will vaporize juice unevenly. If the resistances are off more than just a tiny bit, one may not even get hot enough to vaporize juice.
