    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

as i said i finally understand the point... sorry it took me a while. a coil that is <1.0ohms is "Sub ohm" sorry, I didn't create language or mathematics.

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

Not. A coil that is less than 1.0 ohms, is by definition "sub-ohm" unless and until mechs stop possessing an Art of Simple Elegance... and still have a following(I suspect this will never happen, just a muscle cars are still popular today)... Sub-Ohm vaping will still be a thing. You can...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

OK, I finally realized what this thread is about... my apologies for it taking so long. There is not even a debate to be had... what change? what else do you call a coil that is less than 1.0 ohm? because even if what you say is true and a similar vape can be had at higher resistance...
  4. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

of coarse it does.... how else do you get THAT type of vape on a mechanical?
  5. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

right. the entire premise of removing the term "Sub Ohm" is based on the theoretical idea that it will one day be obsolete... it's not now and while there is a chance that VV/VW devices will, in the foreseeable future, produce well over 40 watts. Their battery life will be atrocious doing so...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

agreed... but that's sort of the point.. that thread is huge... too big to actually be useful now... much like the micro-coil thread... unless you've been reading it from the start, or went through it a few page sat a time for weeks... it's just too big to tackle This thread started as a...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

Yes it has.. but I think Vaping has changed a lot in a year...
  8. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

The only way there is even a risk of it becoming Obsolete, is if vv/vw mods become available that can let us vape at well over 40 watts... Yes, I'm sure they will eventually get to that point... BUT... You miss one crucial factor... Art and Simple Elegance. There is an Art and Simple...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

I get, that basic premise, of what you are saying... my issue is size and wicking(as you mentioned)... I just don't understand how you could feed enough juice to a coil made of 6" of 28 gauge... and still fit all the wire and wick into the atty... without obstructing airflow. On top of that...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

Well crap... That face palm image made me switch sides.... At least on this point... Sub-ohm does not in anyway mean hot. In fact it doesn't give any indication of temperature. Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)

Need help picking the best battery for Sub Ohm Vaping

Sorry, I get mine at a local B&M I know I've seen links on ECF... Google brings up those threads Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

Oh yes, I did fail to mention... I drip. Exclusively. So I don't have wicking issues... If I do, I did something wrong ;) Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)
  13. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

I've definitely seen it at too high a temp... But as I said my sub ohm builds trend to run cooler than any LR or SR I used to run. Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)
  14. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

Then you need to do a detailed post of how it works... Cause no one hear knows... Or maybe no one wants to waste that much wire... I don't know. Regardless... I'd love to see a build like that. Never have. You'd be breaking new ground... Just as sub ohm did. Sent from my mobile, using...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

I actually haven't experienced picky juices like you describe since getting into sub ohm... They all taste good. That wasn't the case on vv/vw devices and atties in the 1.8-3.2 range. Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)
  16. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

I edited my post. But that's not possible... 28 gauge wire is .45ohms/inch You're claiming you fit over 6" of wire into a coil into an atty? Our are you trying to make a .6 by using 1 wrap of 34 gauge? (If that's the case, you don't understand what sub ohm vaping is all about) Sent from my...
  17. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

In fact mine usually run cooler. Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)
  18. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

No you can't. Because an 8ohm coil (you'd need to vape 18volts at 40watts), of the same length as a 0.4 coil (to fit in the same atty)... Will be using much higher gauge wire... It will heat faster, heat higher, burn juice and blow easier at the same wattage. OK... I won't say it's...
  19. ClippinWings

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

No it doesn't. But thermodynamics effect the vape produced by variations in ohms law. Ohms law stands up, and a 15 watt vape is identical at all voltages.... UNLESS the wire gauge and/or shape changes... Then differences in thermodynamics take effect and the vape can be very different...

    Replace "Subohm" with "High Wattage"

So where is the representation of temperature of the wire, wire gauge, etc.? You know, all the factors that make sub ohm what it is. Sent from my mobile, using Tapatalk... so ignore the typos. ;)
