Oops — I was referring to Graham Cracker Custard. I have never mixed Custard the Quickening.

Original recipe called for 1% CAP GC and 2% FW GC. I cannot vape FW due to EM in it so I reversed the percentages and used 2% CAP and 1% FA. I now mix at 3% CAP and 1% FA.

Flavors that have sucralose, EM, etc. in them mutes the juice for me so I try not to buy brands/flavor concentrates that contain this. This has been an ongoing issue for me even when I bought premixes. So far I have not lost my taste for any particular flavor although I have tried flavors...

I think it is a combination of two things for me — I have not had commercial juices for a long time plus they are high in VG which adds sweetness. I mix at 45PG/55VG with no added sweetener. If you mix at high VG it should probably be the same for you. Too bad I dumped it or would have sent...

In my case I could not get beyond the over sweetness to even begin tasting the flavor of the juice. Dumped it.

@FranC — I am so sorry that there are many flavors that you cannot vape and thus miss out on some very good mixes. What do you normally vape?

My experience was different. I started out mixing many of HIC’s recipes that use <10% total flavoring all the way down to the 4 to 5% range. I did not have an issue tasting them however most are S&V. For me S&V = 3 day steep though. Those that I liked I did increase the flavor especially...

So I get an email today from Chef Flavours with an “invitation" to review the flavors I ordered. Only issue is I have not received my flavors not that I would do reviews.

@dc99 - I still have not tried the tob recipe you made for me. Will the FLV tobs mellow out or get stronger.

At the top of my head I am missing at least four flavors not to say I will never buy FW flavors with fructose — just a me thing. But yea, I agree too many flavors.

My apologies — for whatever reason I was thinking Vienna Cream when you in fact used Catalan Cream. I used it so long ago that I do not remember it well and probably just in the one recipe. I did look on Reddit and I think you are spot on with words like bitter, spicy. I used CAP Sweet...

v2 flavors generally require a longer steep. There was a time when I was using FA Vienna Cream quite a bit but that has changed. I don’t recall ever getting a peppery taste. What percent are you using this at?

Sometimes knowing the brand is just as important as flavor. TFA Vanilla Ice Cream always comes up as being peppery yet I do not hear that about other brands. I do not get any peppery/bitter tastes in my flavors however I use very few TFA flavors. And don’t forget taste is subjective and just...
