    Efest is known to re wrap batteries as per the Flashlight guyz. Panasonic prolly the most prized batt line within the companies that re wrap/ resell.

    Not agreeing with anyone telling you stop stop vaping but maybe a good idea to research sub ohm rebuilds further. Understand these batteries were never meant to fire regular ohms APVs/ PV= lottsa stress on the battery. Add to that using sub ohm rebuilds and the batteries are extremely stressed...

    Ego batt safe to use after repair?

    Hi and welcome to ECF. Sounds like it was a cold solder which is a fairly common issues with PVs and APVs. Should be safe to use. For safety sake not a good idea to charge batts unattended in case the shutoff chip fails= thermal runaway/ fire/ explosion.
