Hey all, hope everyone is good. Have a quick question? Is the Ithaka update on esmoke the piece for the single wire? It doesn't show a picture of the internals. Thanks
Yep been doing great. Excited to see this part it is pretty much exactly what I was trying to describe when we were having the twisting wire vs welder debate
When I say don't rub till the compound is dry I mean put the compound on the cloth and rub if you do it long enough it will haze and at that point if you keep going you will only scratch. The moisture is the lube it needs to slide the grit around when it's gone only the grit remains and that...
A extreme perfectionist
A few other tips are never rub the compound dry as it will scratch when it's dry rubbed, don't forget the details like the threads and cracks
Look up a product called Sharkhide but keep this in mind Dspin has a really bad case of OCD and that is the reason his mods look the way they do. Most of us don't have the time to invest to make ours look that way.
I can't twist the wires without tools so its either I use tools for twisting or use tools to slip the R wire under a nut either way a tool gets used. The problem is universal and not just with me as it has sparked a new wire welder side of sales.
