Agreed, the only benefit I can really see is no need for silica, cotton, hemp etc.. A SS wick would be heated in the induction coil, of course it will have to be cleaned periodically IMHO. But temperatures could be controlled very precisely.

They have stated they will be making 3 different models first, then possible a combo model after initial orders are filled. Did you see the final price, 250.00 once production starts. 79.00 is a steal if it is produced for the first 100.
Dan
Anyone seen this?
I have contributed one of the 79.00 models, very interesting. Only 60 left at this price.

Ok so I know the door clearance is the main concern when anodizing, so here is what I did. I used an xacto knife and removed a couple thousands of material from the door track
I then used 1500 grit sand paper and cleaned up the track.
All nice and smooth
The door now falls in and out with...
I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!!
Wish me luck I am stripping my BB to bare bones and it is off to the anodizing shop :)
Is getting a two tone make over, royal blue on the outside and orange on the inside.
Will post pics when it is back and reassembled :)

1mm is too small of a diameter and makes the coil width to wide. 5/64" is perfect IMHO, and with 32ga you can get higher ohms with less wraps so your coil width is smaller. I would try to convert the aspire head by drilling out the juice holes to 5/64" and aligning your coil with the juice holes...
Ok got the thumb nuts in last night, wrapped two 2.0 ohm coils out of 28ga, so the dual coil came out at 1.0ohms.
The thumb nuts I ordered from the link above...
The Pieces, cut a slot in one of the barrel nuts with my demel.

Just re read the vendors site....
We have included a Tool Only Option for those of you who are confident to make your own Heads. The tool allows you to easily insert the coil and align it to exactly the correct position. You will need to drill out 2 juice holes to 2.25mm diameter.
Hmmmmm...
I just rebuilt an aspire head last night for my sons "friend" Wrapped a dual coil that came out at 1.8 ohm using cotton. How I did it was wrap two coils on a 1/16" drill bit with 9 wraps each. Came out to 3.7ohms per coil. Then I threaded one strand of sugar n cream yarn through the coils...
Problem with a screw and oring, is you would have the thread the pyrex, with a silicone plug, you just have to drill it out with a diamond drill bit and match a silicone plug for filling.
Dan
So what about a pyrex tank? :)
I found some rectangle pyrex that would fit perfectly in the BB. Hmmmm might order a couple feet and make some end caps for it. Would have to remove it to fill though.
