BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

So what are you guys thinking about the FD V5's? Maybe I got mine out of a Monday morning/Friday afternoon batch but: If you're contemplating pulling the trigger and getting one, make sure you buy 3 (or hope you're really lucky). So far the bond between the brass barrel and the ceramic sleeve...

Wood dual 18650 glass fuse build

Fuses in mods are meant to protect your conductors 1st, the batteries 2nd (batts can get hot but if the insulation melts off the wires and start shorting, things go south real fast). The way you have your fuses set up, while I can understand would seem logical from a 1 fuse per battery idea, but...

Thanks for the tubing links... If I can just add one more thing to Turbo's climbing vs standard milling on wood. Studio, you mentioned getting a facing tool...given the typical size of stock we use, a facing tool has the ability to shave an entire face in one pass...this will give a good...

I didn't get around to swapping out a bad V4 with a V5 this weekend as hoped...turned out the mod was going to fix was just so beat up I decided to strip it of anything worthy and binned it (a long fun summer can have that effect on a high rotation mod :)) I did get the chance to connect a...

BOTTOM FEEDERS= a place for everything modified and/or custom made

So I just got my V5's from FD, they look like a decent piece of hardware, but I've learned from FD that sometimes looks can be deceiving...anybody running one yet?, when I get the chance this weekend I'm swapping out a V3 that's leaking like a stuck pig and just wondering if I'm going to be...

"if your going to use the drill chuck for milling then you gotta try to keep the side load way down or the chuck can pop out of it's taper" Good catch...I should've qualified my statement with if you're working metal, collet...unlike wood, no-lead (naval) brass and especially copper can be grabby

Ya, I've been mostly lurking as well, the weather this summer has been too nice to spend it in the shop building hardware. I'm not seeing a lot of traffic on this thread lately so whatever, mill talk it is... My G8689 has the MT3 spindle and I've never had any issues finding tooling, it's pretty...

Studio, long time... I've milled tons of hardwood on mine (not a Sieg SX2, mines the Grizzly rendition but the mini mills are pretty much all variations of the same theme out of the same factory in china)...run it fast, use sharp tools, no worries...and hella quieter than my router...imo, buy...

    Expanding the REO product line

I think most chips would have some type of conformal coating...I know the DNA's do, the release of the 40's was held up because of it, though Turbo is the man when it comes to building a submersible DNA mod...although now that I've fully potted mine with clear poly-resin, except for the up/down...

    Expanding the REO product line

You may very well be right, vaping is a living endeavor and as the hardware improves, the goalposts to which they can be pushed move. I personally have found that on my mechs I've stalled out at the .3 - .5 range as far as subohm'ing (it's a taste thing), I know I'm stressing my 30's but I think...

    Expanding the REO product line

My 1st post was deleted %#&* Windows 10 issues... Turbo's idea was also my thought when Rob gave me the opportunity to pick up one of his proto resins. I completely get why Rob would not want to have to deal with warrantying a 3rd party's gear (DNA, SX###, etc.). For those of you that have had...

Not sure about glue holding in the 510 due to conductivity issues but it is definitely pressed in. I've done a lot of modding on grands and the only sure fire way of getting the 510 out is to drill it out...which imo is what Rob also does when he swaps them. As there is no flange on his 510's...

Major points for originality, aside from the fact that it's strange looking (I like strange), I can't figure out why I'm drawn to it...there's a lot to look at there, it would be cool if on the next one of those you found a "L" shaped chunk of tree branch, with the wave in the copper it'd look...

    Storing nic base and vg

Hey Papa <<waves back>>... Wholesale Nicotine 100mg Heartlandvapes Wholesale ...I bought a lot (at a $.92 dollar, double bonus ) Not sure if they'll ship to Can. ...even if they would, not sure I'd try and run the Can. customs gauntlet. If you want, PM me, I can get it to Port Coquitlam...

    Storing nic base and vg

Just my :2c: here...I prefer plastic bottles for my nic storage. I buy 100mg PG nic and like a lot of peeps, had a chicken little moment when I thought it was going to be massively regulated (I now have enough at my current nic/consumption level to last me 20 + yrs). The reason why I even...

That is awesome Alex...you've taken bottle fabrication to a whole different level. I wonder if the epoxy will take some flexing (you know it's going to have to). are you going with the "pinch an o ring between the two mags" or are you coating it? I have to try this with a little more zeal next...

I also agree, breaking an edge in metal and keep a consistent line without actually rolling or beveling is a challenge, don't even think about using even a a fine file... On my copper/brass/alum. work I basically hit it with 400 grit lain in my palm...oddly enough it's the inconsistent soft...
