I never said you did. I just used it as an example to how flawed the market is when it comes to prices. HANA used to be really bad as well until they finally realized you can't sell a DNA 30 for $300+ no matter how American Made it is.

I don't know about that one. It's far more diverse. It's a product for everyone with a $200 budget. Not just a tootle puffer. About the only con i find with it is temp protection mode isn't DC-DC.
I just hope that con i mention doesn't upset SX Mini fans in the same way my pricing con seems to...
In case you are confused, I was specifying all three devices. I rate the Provari very highly on every category of what it is except for the asking price.

Nobody said heavier means better. There you go again, Steve. Making things up to be right. I'm pretty sure I rated all three pretty comparable in material quality. The Provari just comes up short with a lot of features which should remove some of that cost in a competitive market. And it's not...
Perhaps however an SX Mini or DNA 40 is also much heavier then a Provari and will have a much harder impact. I could see a lighter cylinder taking much less of am impact since a box will fall like a brick.
As for water resistance? Those devices might not be but my low end IPV2S is as shown in...
Except I'm not exactly talking about watts or else I would be rating a low end Sigelei 150 over a DNA 40.

Perhaps that was the wrong wording. I guess I just don't see anything that ProVape is doing that justifies a price at or above Evolv or SX350 devices.
All three chips are very premium compared to your typical Sigelei, eLeaf or Smok device. With the exception of the "budget" Hcigar DNA 40, the...
My point of that post was that when these threads get heated, it turns into a lot of misunderstanding and twisted words which is why I took a break for a while. I'm noticing that in this thread already. I find ECF to be one of the harder places to discuss.

Again. It's all about price. To me, it would be like Sony selling a PlayStation 3 for $600 in 2015 because people still prefer it over the PlayStation 4. I think people are quick to assume that I'm bashing on the Provari and people who use the provari. That's not it at all. I just see it as...
Wait a minute. What gives you the idea that I'm getting upset? I'm just discussing the product as I would with any product.

And I think we agree on just about everything except for the price. $200 just seems to be a lot of money for a 20w mod. But maybe that's just me.

Well most of my views come down to price. You should see my rants about the cost to the Cherry Bomber when posting in my Facebook groups. But if people are willing to spend that amount, that's fine. I just wonder if ProVape can keep up selling the same product at the same price. It's rare now...
That's why I say "perceived value". The ProVari is a nice device but is not worth $200 in 2015 compared to other products. The fact that it's a tube design instead of a box design shouldn't be a pricing factor. Even HANA MODZ has come to their senses that their pricing was ridiculous now.

Well threads with 16 pages of bickering made me take a voluntary vacation from ECF so I didn't eventually get myself banned.

While you might find value in that, it doesn't take away from the fact that other guys are doing far more then that for the very same price. That's vaping though I guess and this is an industry where people are willing to spend $500 on a metal tube and a button. Its all a perceived value.
