    Try making a 2.5-3ohm coil. As a coil heats up the resistance can drop. If it real time detecting the atty, this is what may be going on. If you say away from LR coils the resistance won't be close to the "low load" protection thought each fire of the atty. Try that and see if it helps.

    I have found that everyone has their own preferences. There's no one way to wrap coils. I have tried it both ways and I prefer going the opposite way from how I put it on the negative screw. I don't know if it makes a difference, but I just do it that way. :lol:

    There are other methods to use to help prevent hot spots(shorts). There's the rolling paper method and the Peter K method that both work well. They have videos of these methods on youtube.

    Nothing is necessarily wrong. E-liquid will catch on fire if heated to a high enough temp or in direct contact with fire. If you are using a VV device, try lowering the voltage. If you only have fixed voltage and you don't have a vv pv then try wrapping more coils to raise the resistance(ohms)...
