Ready to take the plunge, am I buying the right set up?

BTW, is the air hole on the RM2 right next to the coil or is it above it? If you squonk too hard will liquid get to the air hole? thx

Ready to take the plunge, am I buying the right set up?

I just ordered it, the shipping is via USPS, I wonder how many days it's going to arrive. I ordered a REO grand, the RM2, 2 bottles, wick and kanthal, plus 2 AW 18650 1600mah batteries. Can you guys check if that's all I need to get started? I would hate to leave some accessories out and have...

Does it matter where the air hole is located?

I was wondering if the location of the air hole has any effect on vaping. For example, the vivi nova has an air hole in the bottom, and when you inhale, the air goes in at the bottom and travels up, and "carries" the vapor from the coil to your mouth. But what if the air hole is located on top...

Ready to take the plunge, am I buying the right set up?

Ok, I'm going to order a REO. But I wonder if I'm buying the right things: I plan to order: REO grand $144 Reomizer 2.0 rba (is this the RM2)? $43 AW battery, charger Or should I get the variable voltage version? or is that not necessary? what do most ppl here use anyway? I also plan to...

If I buy a RM2, that means I have to build my own coils right?

Hi, that's a very helpful picture. From what I can see, there is a straight portion of the coil that connects to the 2 terminals (screw). Since that portion of the coil is not wicked, does it produce dry hits sometimes when there is no juice on it? thx

If I buy a RM2, that means I have to build my own coils right?

Does anyone have a picture of how the coil are attached? A picture of the atty with the drip tip taken off would be great, thx

what percentage of vapers make their own coils from kanthal and silica wick?

I would think it's a pretty small minority who likes to deal with it?

tried dripping, got dry hit, what's wrong?

I turned off the light, and I noticed the coil is glow bright in the portion that is not coiled around the wick. The portion that is coiled around the wick is dark. I have the coil connected to a homemade electrical terminal, so there is a straight portion. Again, the straight portion is...

tried dripping, got dry hit, what's wrong?

I tried to drip today, my first time. I made a mod myself by taking the circuit board from a Ego Twist I had. I used a coil/wick from a vivi nova head and cut off the extra wick. I pretty much drenched the coil/wick in juice, but consistently get dry hits. I even made the voltage low (like 3V...

vaping requires longer inhaling time compared to cigarettes?

I have to press the button down for 5 seconds or more to get a decent amount of vapor/throat hit comparable to cigarettes. I remember when I smoked, each puff was very short, around 2 second or so. I'm not complaining as this is not a big deal, but I wonder if this is normal or am I doing...

thinking about getting a REO, a few questions

Hi, that's an awesome pic. Can you post a pic showing the inside of the REO with the cover removed? Especially the battery compartment. thanks

When choosing battery for the REO, do you have to use battery with protection circuit?

I think other e cig devices have protection circuit inside the electronics for safety. Since the REO is all mechanical, do you have to use a battery that comes with protection?

Does the regular REO only output 3.7 V?

Okay, since battery voltage is pretty much fixed for REO users, I wonder what ohm coil you guys vape at? BTW, since coil length is pretty much fixed, you just buy different gauge kanthal wires to vary the resistance right?

what is sub ohm vaping, and why do ppl do it?

If I understand correctly, sub ohm vaping uses coils of low resistance. But why do ppl do it? If the goal is more power, why not just increase the voltage? Or is sub ohm only used for situations where the voltage is fixed?

Does the regular REO only output 3.7 V?

I understand there is a variable voltage REO, but for the regular REO, do you just vape at 3.7V only? I don't think there are any electronics in the regular REO. I'm also considering the VV REO. Obviously, one of the main selling point of REO is its sturdy construction. However, with the VV...

can you buy the REO only at REO's website?

Or are there other places you can get them? BTW, I never knew that REO has been out for over 3 years. How come no one on this site recommend it when I started vaping 2 years ago? Everyone was recommending the vivi nova and the ego back then.

Does the first hit after squonking taste the best?

I'm new to dripping and is thinking about using the REO. I understand that after you squeeze the bottle, you can vape a few times, and then have to squeeze again. About how many times can you vape before having to resqueeze? I personally like powerful hit and lots of vapor, so I tend to press...

are there any other good "dripping" devices like the REO and VMOD?

I use a vivi nova with Ego Twist. Never dripped before. But it seems the bottom feeder mods are all so pricey.

are there any other good "dripping" devices like the REO and VMOD?

Hi, I googled those and it seems they are all very similar to the REO, all are boxed mods that you squeeze a bottle?

are there any other good "dripping" devices like the REO and VMOD?

But it seems the REO is best out of all those in terms of convenience and ease of use?
