The TFA orange is very intense. When I just want a background orange, I like the orange cream. When I want an intense Agent Orange, I need the extract. My preference is orange cream and I use it in at least two recipes. Good luck! :toast:
Great story! Thank you. I don't know the answer to your question, but TFA may know. Why not write them a quick email and ask that very interesting question. They respond extremely well to questions like these. I've had great talks on the phone as well with Linda and others. Might try them. Good...
I use dulce de leche at 2% more or less, though I generally don't include them in my thinking of creams. Interesting. For a great cereal flavoring, though, I don't think they can be beat. A must have! :toast: :D
:2cool: :vapor:
Because candy apple is different than a normal fruit recipe. TFA makes half a dozen or so candy mixes and they are very useful and don't require creams in the same way as primary fruits. Very useful....I recommend that after you've made the basic recipes to add the candy TFA flavorings as they...
I make a decent orange dreamcycle. Probably as close as I get to a sherbet. I also have a good Tropical Paradise which is pineapple and coconut, I believe. I coud be wrong, I just know I have one or two pineapple recipes. The pineapple is a tank cracker, btw, so be careful! Good luck! :toast:
Generally speaking, I use near equal measure fruits to creams/vanillas/sweeteners. You are not even close to those ratios. Those creams/vanillas and sweeteners are what add the pop to the recipes. You also mentioned my recipes, which ones are you having taste problems with?
Also, you are mixing...
Sounds like a case of good ole vapor tongue. Happens, particularly in first six months.
Lots of suggestions for it, but I like a good shot of fresh ground coffee aroma to reset my palette. Everything tastes fresher after that. There are many other suggestions, and perhaps, others will chime in...
No very different flavorings. Dulce de Leche is the sweet milk flavoring in the bottom of the bowl (of cereal), and caramel is caramel, completely different flavorings to me. My suggestion for dulce de leche was in response to the malted milk suggestion.....just an alternative possibility...
For the most part, I have not had good luck with flavor substitutions, or even brand substitutions. Most of these recipes will taste differently even with slight adjustments in percentages, let alone total changes in flavorings. :2c: :toast: :D
:2cool: :vapor:
Always wonderful advice Mom!
I live for dulce de leche as my go-to milk flavoring. For me, it provides that bottom of the bowl, super-sweet cereal taste that I remember fondly as a kid. Brings back those memories every time, and one of the reasons I also like cereal vapes. If you new DIY'ers...
Dragon's Blood is a fruit vape. What is your take on it? All that really matters, and what are you looking for? Adjust to suit your taste.
My take is a very sweet fruit concoction:
Dragon's Blood
Dragon Fruit - 10%
Cotton Candy - 5%
Strawberry - 5%
Bavarian Cream - 4%
Vanilla Cupcake - 2.5%...

Certainly does fall into that category. The Vanilla Swirl, though, is the sweetest of the vanillas and sweeter than the French Vanilla, and the Vanilla Bean Ice Cream is also very similar to the French Vanilla. I use them all, but I was asked to list my top one or two in each category. Of the...
Just goes to show how taste is so subjective. For me, the almond joy recipe is spot on, though not a frequent vape. I prefer the butterfinger and oreo cookie recipes the best of the chocolate bar/cookie choices, also the peanut butter cup (though not all TFA).
Recommend just dialing back the...
Easy and you mentioned them all. Sweet cream and Bavarian cream. Vanilla Swirl and Vanilla Bean Ice Cream. These all make wonderful foundations when used with both Sweetener and Cotton Candy. I use these six in virtually every recipe I make. These are many of the best supporting flavors...
Talking of cherry. Not sure what the problem is, other than maraschino is too strong. I like the extract and have made some great juice with it. Like so many flavorings, they need to blend with other flavorings to work really well as great juice. Here's a cherry recipe that I really like...
Oh, I see.....cheesecake!
I have yet to make a vapably good cheesecake...anything. And here I thought your problem was blueberry.
I cannot help you with this, though the lack of creams and vanillas would be where I would start. Try a mix with NO cheesecake, adding sweet cream and...
