I absolutely love when members here post the results of nuanced flavor experiments. It's just so helpful to all of us, as no one person can try all different combinations possible. By sharing though, we can make great progress in the journey. Everyone, please don't be reluctant to post your...

Great! Please report back on your results. I'm certain many of us are interested in this effort. Also, any insight you can provide into flavor changes due adjustments in the Graham Cracker/Pie Crust ratio would be interesting to hear about, as well. Many thanks and good luck! :toast: :D :2cool...

It's a very potent nutty flavoring. A little goes a long way. In small amounts it provides a nice background note, which can very easily exist with flavor separation. As such, it is very productive with complex flavorings when used sparingly. Too much is actually quite unpleasant tasting! Good luck!

Many thanks, my friend clnire! Yes, we've both been around a good while. Appreciation is always very nice, and beats the heck out of being attacked, which does happen from time to time! :D As you know, I'm all about sympathizing with the new DIY'er, as I had a rough go of it at first myself...

As Art mentioned, could be the AP. Easy to check and rule it in or out (2 batches for comparison using 100DT). But, pie crust flavoring is finding the right combination of graham cracker and pie crust flavoring, both, working together. Slight changes to the percentages will change the "dough"...

May have missed your question! Regarding a pie base, I gave the base for one way to make that recipe a couple of years ago. I'll need to find it...Found it: Pies French Vanilla - 4% Sweetener - 4% Pie Crust - 4% Graham Cracker - 3% Brown Sugar - 2% Butter - 1% Cinnamon - .5% (OPTIONAL) Add...

I would try reducing the Bavarian Cream and substituting marshmallow for greater depth and creaminess. Works in a lot of similar recipes. good luck!

You bet. The AP is very optional, and adds a nutty taste, that I like, but it could be skipped. Also, I would keep my eye on the Graham Cracker. Seems like 5% may be better than 4%, but I would keep the mix at 30% or less flavoring, so if I did add the GC, I would likely reduce somewhere else...

Adding pie crust to my Lion recipe results, at least on paper, to this recipe: Butterscotch Pie Butterscotch - 10% Bavarian Cream - 6% Graham Cracker - 4% Pie Crust - 3% Cotton Candy - 3% Vanilla Swirl - 3% Acetyl Pyrazine - 1% This is just a paper recipe and I have not made it yet. However...

One last thought on percentages of flavoring in the mix. I have found that TFA is one of the weaker food flavorings out there, of the half dozen or so brands that I've used, with perhaps LorAnn as the strongest. When I suggest using flavors of 20 - 30%, I'm talking about TFA flavorings, and not...

Pie crust and graham cracker work like magic together. I found, for me at least, that they are much better together than either separately at about a 65/35 ratio of graham cracker to pie crust. But tweak to taste. Wonderful in pies, and varying the ratio will vary from pie to pastry to Danish to...

One thing I've had an opportunity to notice first hand is that temperature has a great deal to do with percentage of flavoring. While I cannot state a particular relationship with respect to high flavor mixes and precise temperature, I do know that when I sold juice to vendors on the strip, some...

Yep, that's my Monkey Business alright. Anyone can download it on the dropbox site. It's sold on the Las Vegas Strip as Monkey Business even today. The citric acid recipe has just been posted for the hundredth time in the last week on this thread. I use a 10% solution and add a drop, or two or...

The HFM juices don't need to sit for a month. If you plan to wait a long while before vaping these, try adding citric acid to the mix to help lock in the original flavorings. If the Monkey Business you were speaking about is a banana recipe, then it may be mine. All recipes, though, need to be...

Since you are using a different nicotine mixture, it takes 4 drops of your nicotine to equal every one drop of a 100 mg/ml mixture. So, instead of 6 drops of VG Nic, equal to 6%, you need 24 - 25 drops to equal 6% using 24 mg/ml VG Nic. So, that's 18 drops more nicotine (24 drops - 6 drops = 18...

If you're making a 60/40 VG mix you would add 40 PG (flavorings and PG) plus 6 drops of VG Nic (assuming 100 mg/ml) plus 54 drops of VG. The mix will always end up with 100 total drops. If the nicotine is in VG and is 100 mg/ml in VG, then it's simple as the drops equals the percentage, i.e., 6...

Once the so-called tank crackers are mixed in complete solution, there's only three or four that will eat through plastic. Also, the tank cracker flavors are always added last to the mixture, and never first. You will know that you have mixed in the wrong order when the solution turns milky...
