No problem... I'm not familiar Ox-Gaurd but I'd definitely say NO to dialectic grease. Oxidization isn't going to be an issue. Adding dialectic grease will just make a mess without providing and electrical insulation. Epoxy or E6000 will cure/dry to a semi-rigid plastic that will provide a...
Looking at the board... If had to hazard a guess, my money would be on crappy soldering of the wires entering at the bottom of the pcb. From the look of the solder joints they don't look like they are very good quality. If you're handy with a soldering iron you may want to reflow any bad joints...
Glassgal - I've never been inside an i-taste so I'm not familiar with your particular device but I've taken apart and repaired enough electronics to have a pretty good idea... The "yellow cellophane" is most like a piece of kapton tape. It could have been placed there to hold something in place...
Still testing... (Deciding)... The size is awesome but a pita to wick & coil.
I tried XC-116 and completely fell apart... It was too short to hold together. The XC-132 did just fine...
It's also kinda cramped up, not much room to work.
I'm thinking a couple extra millimeters may meek a little...
That sounds a lot like my impression of the Wand... An absolute work of art based on the engineering and ultra tight machining tolerances but it didn't vape any better than any other genisis atty, was a pita to get setup correctly and was less conductive than other genisis attys.
It just looked...
Shouldn't be a problem. I already have most of the supplies I need. I just need to get my hands on some silver bearing solder paste and some free time.
I don't normally go for box mods or bottom feeders but when pdib offered to make me a custom bottom feeder out of a solid chunk to burled wood... There was no way I was going to turn down that offer...
Here is what he made me...
You can see more of his stuff here on this thread... PDIB's...
It depends... If the atty only has ego threads, then no. You'd need an eGo to 510 adapter. If the 510 part of the connector is threaded, then yes, you can simply cut off the skirt.
The one you're looking at is shorter than a standard carto (about 3 mm taller if you count the drip tip...).
1/2 the height... Maybe... Like I said at the end of the post, I can definitely get it much shorter since there's no need to make room for a juice reservoir in the squankable version.
Well... It official. The Micro-Gen squanks!!!... I was able to drill a 1/32" hole to the side of the pos post. An o-ring from an old drip tip prevents leaking.
My favorite atty meets my favorite PV... at last!
I only finished drilling & re-coiling it about 10 mins ago, but so far, it's...
