This is our concern with the mini. The longer 2.5 has more room and the P3 is a-ok in all configurations. The 2.5 being a low power unit doesn't benefit really, but the P3 and beyond do. When you check IQ on the P3 with the new cap you will see a difference :) -

What is the internal resistance of this cell? We don't have any to test at the moment, but if its between 20-24milliohm (lower is better) it should be ok. If the internal resistance gets over 25mohm and you want to push it to 50 watts, this can cause too much voltage drop. It's critical that... -

Here's a little more info - 2.5 - Since those use a button top battery, 18350 mode won't allow for the new cap as you will not be able to screw it on all the way since the button top takes up all the extra room. It will still work, just won't sit flush. P3 with or without extension rings will... -

There is a spring under the dome cap that soaks up the added space, but you won't have to replace the spring or adjust it. :) -

The Procyon does not have the visible IQ reading. We have not had any issues with that, but it doesn't hurt to use a tiny amount of No-ox on the threads if you choose.
