Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

What batteries are you using? How exactly does the error occur? Instantly on power up? When you press the fire button? Two things you can try - one is to run the Battery Analyzer under Escribe; the other is to show your batteries voltages on the display or check them via device monitor. Maybe...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

Running escribe on a mac sucks, unless you want to spend money on parallels or such, but for those running virtualbox I'll give a couple pointers: 1) If your Windows install needs drivers before it can reach the Internet, you can download them to your flash drive - just remember that you need to...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

The designer of the Boxer is pretty obsessed with not wasting space. Thus, for a dual 18650 configuration, I'd suspect you'd be hard pressed to find something more compact than what he has done.

NEW YIHI SX MINI ML CLASS!

For the single 18650 mod, the sx350j is still the best chip available. As to beyond that, there's still pros and cons to both chips. Regardless, if someone is interested in picking between Evolv and YiHi devices beyond single 1860s, it seems now that the best approach is to see what YiHi will...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

Yeah, I like playing with the magnetic door, but considering the risk of people screwing up the magnets on the DIY stuff, it's probably for the best.

Boxer Mod Dual 18650 Yihi 350J

I have the black one, so no. Cleaning it just takes warm soapy water and a towel from what I understand.

NEW YIHI SX MINI ML CLASS!

A properly designed a chip will not exceed its own limits. Thus, even if you could draw 50A from a battery package, the board will not do it if it is limited to 30A. Why? Because the board is not designed to fry itself. So if you want to draw 50A current at the same voltage, so you can increase...

NEW YIHI SX MINI ML CLASS!

Not sure I understand you, but to clarify my remarks - the board has an input current limit that cannot be exceeded, regardless of the voltage of the batteries. Some boards (e.g., sx350j, DNA 200) based on the voltage of the batteries (e.g., 3.7V, 7.4V, 11.2V), determines what power can be...

NEW YIHI SX MINI ML CLASS!

One can do higher power with parallel batteries, provided that (a) the configuration of the batteries is known to the chip; and (b) the wiring and chip can handle the increased current. For example, the SX-350j-VF in the Vaporflask SX runs up to 100W (3.7V at 27A), because it's specifically...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

Technically, you're getting a DNA133 mod, no? ;) Personally, I think that's the best choice if you're doing mostly single coil stuff like me. My LiPo Boxer spends a lot of time tethered to a USB cable to recharge, whereas my dual 18650 sx350j Boxer easily lasts a lot longer and battery swaps...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

No idea why, but then I really don't get why anyone would want to solder the DNA 200 themselves if they can avoid it. The DNA 200 is probably the most time-consuming/difficult chip on the market to solder, so I was more than happy to spend a little more for professional labor and a warranty...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

Remember to factor in the cost of of not having a warranty either, which itself is probably worth about $30~40 for this particular mod. Also, there's no indication whether this is a DIY kit or done with professional labor (worth $25). So even if you buy it at his or her minimum price of $200...

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

Not that I really enjoy watching the Vapor Chronicles, but in the most recent upload Mike Vapes uses his 200W and 133W Boxer throughout. At around the 42:00 minute mark, he does talk about the mods a little bit.

Boxer Mod 200W with Evolv DNA200 Temperature Control

There are people who buy stuff just to play with it, then sell it within a few days. Seen it before with all sorts of mods and attys. Could be a flipper, but not a smart one, as GV seems to meet demand for its mods in a reasonable amount of time.

    Wizard EVOLVED

It requires a fair amount of changes to the sled, modifications to one of the buttons, etc. Thus, it takes a bit of work and isn't all that straightforward. However, if Mark Bugs has a new sled and replacement button, it would make the task a lot easier.

    Wizard EVOLVED

If you're not changing the exterior aspects of the mod, what about selling just the DNA40 portion of the mod as an upgrade too? i.e., we just swap out the dna 30 section with the dna 40 section. Could you do that at a reasonable price?
